3. Daily accounts transacting

A 'transacting account' is a Steem account that made at least one transaction on the Steem blockchain. This can be a vote, post, comment, transfer, power up or sbd conversion. Users who only read from the Steem blockchain without interacting are not included. The actual number of 'Active users' is therefore much higher than the accounts transacting.

Thanks as always @penguinpablo !
This looks like Poloniex has enabled steem withdraw again, can you confirm?

Yes, deposits and withdrawals have been re-enabled on Poloniex :)

Good info!

Reateemed for my crew 😜👍

Thanks for all the stats!

Once again, the stats seem to suggest that "as goes the price of Steem, so goes the activity on Steemit" which would suggest a VERY strong tendency that people are only here for the money... not so much for the social interaction.

Which strikes me as a bit of a shame, as this really IS a great community.

Thanks, as always, for the useful reports @penguinpablo!

Do you really need stats to figure out that people are at places for money? You are trying to use Black and White thinking here to simplify a complex world by making basic conclusions on limited data. People need money to survive. Is that sad? It's just life. Yeah yeah community here and there. People have a million places for that. It's cash flow that people are interested in.

Lack of interaction. More then making money people want to be heard. However getting bot votes but no views is off putting. Equaling no money and hardly any comments save the "good post" or the ever so vague "I like what you said". Correcting search and how we see the content on our front page would be a huge help. Messenger would help, but i like that about the site. Not allowing people to vote on there own posts or comments would also help. If you do not use your votes on other people, and i mean vote like crazy, your steem will be worthless, I have seen this one to many times before, the real money is not in you upvoting yourself, but giving it out to others, that growth it creates is where all the future money is, 1-2 million people is a drop in the bucket suckers. People saving pennies now, will chock out the income long term.

No, block self upvote is not possible. You can make other accounts and vote yourself up. It's silly and childish to try to control what people do with their stake. What you are talking about is the more transaction between people the higher value the currency will have and yes that is true. Views and Likes are not what Steemit was designed for. You actually have to sacrifice yourself and reach out to people if you want comments in return. That is the game.

Thanks for the cool words and point but i must disagree. A blog is for saying something to people, or giving them info, point of view etc etc. in hopes to get upvotes, likes or change minds. Self upvoting must be a new thing they fixed, because i have done it many times, but 3-4 months back, i stopped that practice to make sure anybody who leaves me a comment gets a like. Even if i dont like it or agree. Provided its not "bad content".

You are wrong. There is no such thing as likes here.

So i just looked up your self upvoting and here is the stat. ( 8.10 % self, 196 upvotes, 73 accounts, last 7d ) which is respectable. I have seen accounts way higher then that. Yes use your votes however you see fit, i am all about freedom. But serious try to explain why this great platform is slowly sinking when it should be the hottest thing on the market. Or read what other steemit users are saying. Not the whales mind you, but that new person. I read them, and they are frustrated with the lack of comments. Its not so much about the money, though penguins chart might prove that wrong. But people want to be heard, thats 101 in blogging. My whole point, is i see less commenting and upvotes from whales. These people can make the biggest change in other peoples success. Thus furthering the platforrm. What i am betting is that past prices made people so much cash the went full time on steemit, but when the market kicked down, this is when self upvoting grew a bit. Trying what they can to match their former income. Less success for new comers would be the result. Which in turn means they dont tell a friend with the same passion about steemit. Less signups, reduced price and less postings with a larger base are just some of the indicators that let me know i am on the right track.

That 8% you reach fast just by upvoting comments for visibility. Basically the only thing I do haha

Honestly, i think thats the best reason to do so, i will upvote my own posting when it benefits other people, like our board game swap meetings. i upvote this, because my customers who buy tables at the event need as many buyers/traders as they can get. Or if i post somebody doing a good deed, i too would upvote that so it can be seen.

upvotes, likes....pretty much the same thing.

Good information of interest!

I will never understand the boom of new accounts in ordinary days.
285 new accounts on July 26th, 9,097 new accounts on July 27th :D

What is hard to understand? Steemit clicks a button and allows a few thousand in with a click. What else do you think happens?
