Just saw this post. I was on the DailyPaul for years. I started reading when it started in 2007.
I loved that site. The users there were by far the best way to filter out bullshit from the daily news. Whatever the story, it was posted on the Daily Paul within hours, and many times months before the state sponsored media would pickup on it.
My favorite part was the comments section on the posts. Users were very smart, and though we would get into fights, the insights in the comments on current affairs were mostly spot on.
Give me a follow. I don't post much, but with payouts as high as they are, I'm gonna have to start writing again.
Hopefully one day, steem can produce an uncensorable environment like the daily paul.
Hey man! Your user name looks familiar. I never joined up, and by the time I was ready to Michael decided to call it quits. But I got most of my news there and like you said, BS was cut through and the banter here on Steemit kind of reminds me of how it was back at the DP. Welcome back and Steem on!
