Steemit IS Facebook...stop kidding yourself...

I went to a friend's funeral today. It was great. There was no religion in it. It was 'Humanist'. He was a cricket fanatic. Too much for me, but that's the way people can be. That's OK. Just don't include me. Lovely kids, all did something, interesting and mainly funny. Then we went to the pub. All good.

Being born is a death sentence. Get used to it. It's quite normal.

Anyway, I've tried to add 'value' to Steemit, as far as I perceive it, but it seems not to be working!?

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO ON STEEMIT TO BE RECOGNISED?

Talk about cats stuck up trees...post silly images???

(Not really that bothered) ...

Do you want to be HAPPY?

Try the Sufi way:

You probably don't want to hear it though:

NEED NOTHING

DESIRE NOTHING

BE NOTHING

I think that's not quite right, but it POINTS where you need to be

TO BE HAPPY

Oh well, good luck to all

PJ

steemit is like any other blogging platform, it takes time before you find your voice and find people who want to hear it. the worse thing you can do is giving up before trying your best. nowhere else you can make it as a blogger faster than steemit.

You're quite right @exif. I'm sorry to be so down about it. I think it was my friends funeral bringing me down rather. Thanks again. PJ

Hi Peter,
yes, I've questioned steemit to.
In the early days I was full of enthusiasm as my posts were doing quite well (that's where the vast majority of my 'steem' came from) but in recent months there's hardly any attention or income.

I'm plodding on and trying to help those just starting out on here.

I fully understand your sentiment though. We post original and thought provoking content and we may as well be throwing it to the wind.

I'd be sorry to see you leave but I can't blame you for how steemit has made you feel.

Rob.

Thanks @eggmeister, Rob. Yeah I was just rather down that day. Nothing to worry about, I shall keep on posting what I consider to be good stuff... Good luck yourself. PJ

Steemit can be disheartening,..... all those folks posting and earning $hundreds each time. My last few posts only get upvoted by the same small group of people. I'm grateful for their support but I feel my effort deserves more.

I struggle to communicate with folks, always been shy and reserved and so when a couple of folks here on steemit have suggested I hook up with them on DIscord for some group/community chat I initially baulked. Anyhoo, I now have a little time spent on @geordieprepper prepper channel and @pennsif homesteading/homeschooling group. @pennsif now has a weekly 2 hour 'radio show' in the Discord group with a few guest steemit people.

Where am I heading with all this I hear you ask???

I notice your profile message includes optimum nutrition & health, perhaps it's something the audience would be interesting in?

Maybe this side of steemit isn't for you and I fully understand but it could help a little in gaining a following of likeminded folk.

Any way, I've rambled on too much Peter, I apologise :)

I greatly appreciate you replying back to me. Let me know if you fancy joining @pennsif group and I'll source a link for you and contact him.

TTFN,

Rob :)
