Steemit Gives Its' Users A "Real Piece of The Pie"

I can't praise this platform enough! Not only have I enjoyed reading the various posts in the array of categories on display, but I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to invest in something which allows its' users to have a "real piece of the pie". We should truly bask in the fact that we can help each other progress in our concepts, morales and ideals. With the predicted growth potential in our present economy, I believe Steemit will finally help bridge the gap between the 1% who are in control, and the 99% "who think they are" in control. Think about it...there are still so many who don't even know that this interface exists!

Hello! My name is Peyton, and I'm very pleased to be a part of this new community. I am an affiliate marketer, motivational speaker and aspiring writer. I am originally from Washington, DC, but now I reside in Marietta, Georgia with my girlfriend and our two beautiful shih tzus.

I graduated from Morehouse College in May of 2005 with a B.A. in Sociology. Sociology is defined as the scientific study of social behavior, including its origins, development, organization, and institutions. Initially, I had planned to attend graduate school that fall, but I thought what better way to put my knowledge to the test than to use it in the real world?

It wasn't as easy as I imagined to find a position in line with my credentials that summer, and I found myself spinning my wheels perusing the classifieds day after day. It wasn't until I answered an ad that promised $600 - $1200 per week at entry level that I found what I thought was my true calling: commission-based sales. Here, I had an opportunity to use what I had learned for my benefit and that of others, and I turned out to be adept at it. I was able to capitalize on facial expressions, body language and psychological triggers, or as my colleagues would say "buying signs".

Over the course of ten years, I strengthened my customer service skills while traveling from business to business, frequenting residential areas and conducting marketing events to promote products and programs for companies and organizations such as: The Atlanta Braves, AT&T, DIRECTV, Staples, Safelite Auto Glass and The Home Depot. Although I enjoyed these endeavors because I was able to pinpoint the needs and wants of my customer base, I always thought to myself, what if I could promote my own product or program?

About a year and a half ago, after doing some research on the app market, I came to the conclusion that apps had overtaken the Web in terms of the number of minutes users spend per day. There really is an app for everything, and there's no excuse not to take advantage of a trend that has exploded in the past three years alone. The most informative book I read on this trend was Chad Mureta's App Empire: Make Money, Have a Life, and Let Technology Work for You, and it inspired me to take action. I gathered information ranging from start-up costs to technical knowledge. It costs anywhere from $500 to $5000 to develop simple apps, and if you can improve on existing app ideas, you can make money. My desire is to become a healthier person spiritually, mentally and physically, and health and fitness apps are extremely popular across the board.

In an effort to help improve the lives of others, I plan on enhancing this app niche by incorporating spiritual, mental and physical aspects of wellness into one app. I believe that a combination of meditation practices and techniques, games that challenge the brains' awareness and an adaptable strength training regimen can be a benefit to users. For those supporters who are thoughtful enough to contribute to this development, I am prepared to update you on my progress as well as field your ideas for the sake of creating something we can all profit and benefit from. Your feedback will not go unnoticed. Thank you in advance!
