Олимпийския ни отбор, който наистина има славно минало през 1968г. В Мексико"68 момчетата на треньора Георги Берков стигат до финала и вземат сребърните медали.Обаче има два мача преди това с ГДР (Германска Демократична Република) за класиране и участие .Мечтите на ГДР рухват само за шест минути, толкова трябват на знаменития нападател Петър Жеков,за да вкара най-бързите три (хеттрик) гола в цялата ни футболна история,на Българския национален отбор.На 6 април Петър Жеков играе за България срещу Италия при победа с 3:2 , а няколко дни след това, той играе и в двубоя с ГДР ,мача се играе в Стара Загора, завършва 4:1 за България.Петър Жеков е носител на "Златната обувка" и ненадминат и до днес голмайстор.Сега той е на 70 години.
