Sunrise photography - Scenes #6

       New dawn, New day

A haze of indigo and purple
rising from the deep blue dark
while I stood by
and watched this wonderous
play of colours
bursting into flames.

I felt the only soul on earth
participating in her awakening
by the wind touching the soil
with gentle fingertips
while putting some silver dewdrops
on roses’ heads and leaves.
Nature’s language to say:
“Wake up and prepare yourself
for a brand new golden day.
Soon the nurturing sun
will warm and dry your leaves,
for you to show your inner beauty.”

Inhaling the freshness of the air
I heard a weak whisper
of small chirping voices,
awoken by nature’s call,
swelling into a morning concert
of jubilant birdsong.
