The Maze in Your Mind - Nolans Westworld

Highly developed artificial intelligent which peeks out underneath cowboy hats in the midday sun’s hot and bright sunlight in an old and dusty world in the Wild West of the near future.According to a new tweet from actress Evan Rachel Wood, it will return for its second season some time in Spring 2018…Westworld.
Since debuting in 2011, the tv series Game of Thrones which based on author George R. R. Martin’s "A Song of Fire and Ice" series has become a global phenomenon and now fans all over the world are excited for the last upcoming season. But before the story and the series will end with a big and hopefully epic final in a few month, the Game-of-Thrones-channel HBO publishes a new - and let me add this: genious and mind-blowing - series, which is called Westworld.

„Take me to the place you promised. Take me to where the mountains meet the sea“ or „What the series is about…“The story of Westworld takes place in the fictional world of the same name: Westworld. This artificially created world is a technologically advanced Wild West-themed park populated by highly advanced robots, called hosts. Westworld's target group are high-paying guests, who may indulge in whatever they wish within the park, without fear of retaliation or possible resistance from the preprogrammed hosts.Since the debut of the series in early October 2016, the show has generated significant praise for its high production value. Because of the huge success of Game of Thrones HBO provided the production of the first season of its new sci fi highlight with an enormous budget of more than 100 million dollars. Not only critics add enthusiastic words when they are talking or writing about the show. Even the viewers recognize (e.g. realistic CGI - even a better one as Games of Thrones in the earlier seasons) the production value.Furthermore the strong performances of all actors (cast includes such well-known performers as Anthony Hopkins,  Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris or Evan Rachel Wood) complete a high quality start of a new series.

„The longer I work here, the more I think I understand the hosts. It's the human beings that confuse me…“But the show's success is also the potential inherent in the world it creates. And who can write a better, deeply involved and thought-out screenplay as Christopher Nolan’s brother Jonathan Nolan who also wrote the screenplay for Batman’s second Nolan-Appearance The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan and Lisa Joy understand the way how to write an interesting plot told in an intelligent as well as interesting way, that is filled with interesting characters, who carry interesting stories and reveal unexpected as well as astute plot twists. And that’s what he let the viewer understand with all this stylistic devices by watching the first seasons: This world doesn’t belong to them; it belongs to us. The viewers. He created a fascinating story based on the original from the 1970s and read another meaning and way of interpretation into it. Finally let me only quote some big words again:„An old friend once told me something that gave me great comfort. Something he read. He said Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin never died. They simply became music.“And now I can only say Nolan simply became a synonym for a remarkable creative and highly qualitative filmography in the film world even as in the TV world. With Westworld.

I love the first season, but without getting into too much detail. I think the second season will be a let down. I have noticed a trend lately of first seasons being really excellent while later seasons lacking substance. Oh, except fargo the series.. each season of that is of the wall

Yes. With your answer about Fargo i can only agree. But for Westworld I expect that J. Nolan can hold or even improve the level. Maybe not in the that viewer expect. He showed this talent of writing a screenplay in a whole different and unexpected way often before.

Fair enough. I don't know enough about his work other than knowing that the first season was above and beyond what's out there. I will be looking forward to second season now but if it's no good - I'm coming back here >:|
