Just a few minutes ago, Steemit’s 1,000,000th account was created.

All of us here today are early adopters.

Grandma? Grandpa? Where were you on Million Steemians Day?

Can you give me the break down of how many Steem makes you minnow or red fish or dolphins 🐬 or whale please!

It’s actually determined by vests rather than Steem Power. To be a minnow, at least 1,000,000 vests or 1 MVest. For dolphin, 10 MVests; for orca {{{hush}}} 100 MVests; for whale 1,000 MVests or one billion vests. The number of Steem Power per MVest is always slowly rising. When I joined, it was something like 483, currently a bit over 491. You can find the current number at https://steemdb.com

Basically everything smaller than a Minnow is a Red Fish. When I joined, they were usually called Plankton, and some still use that term, but Red Fish is becoming more common. Complete newbies just starting out are sometimes called Dust.

Thats great thanks for the detailed response!!

Awesome! I think when I joined it was closer to 380K, that's some pretty rapid growth, and I imagine it will get faster and faster! Quite a few of my friends are starting to join. @chrisdyer @kaliptus @brocksart @allailen @artbyadida and more!
