Meet the first local social media site based on STEEM blockchain:

STEEME.RU

The site is not a STEEM fork, it uses the same blockchain as a steemit.com but filters only russian content. All posts, comments and curator rewards are paid as if you were talking on the main steemit site. However, due to the filtering and display only Russian-language entries, local messages will not be mess with a huge mass of English content.

In addition to language-based content filters there are some additional features on the site which is not currently present on steemit.com:

Only Russian-language entries
There is a local (non-Google) full text search through all the posts and comments
Russian-language content Tag Cloud
RSS feed of new, hot and trending records
Post pagination simplifies content navigation

The next development plan is to implement direct contribution to blockchain. This will opening another independent way to work with whole STEEM.

Very cool, I can see it being a frustrating experience for users that don't understand and/or can't write English. Props for taking the initiative!
