My Coin Collection - Post #1
In this my coin collection series, I am going to share my coin collections with it's history and actual photographs taken my me.
I still remember that old day when I was at around 3 or 4 years old when my grandfather teach me to walk by handmade wooden tricycle. He was so loving and caring person. But he was a good currency collector also.
He owned and preserved many old heritage coins and currency notes at that time. I was got that heritage from his father and grandfather. India have been witness of many foreign kingdom rule like French dynasty, Persian dynasty, Mughal dynasty, Portuguese dynasty and British dynasty etc.
My age is now 47 and I have maintained my grandfather's heritage of old ancient coins. I have a great treasure of my grandfather in form of ancient heritage coins and currency notes. I am sharing some of photographs which I have taken from my own high definition DSLR Camera.
I hope you will like my coin collection.

Officially the weight was 12.95g however the actual weight varies from 12.92-13.41 gram! Collector has to rely on the planchet size to arrive at the mint. Madras mint half annas were slightly bigger than Bombay mint. The half anna minted in Madras has a diameter of around 30.7-31.2 mm. The half-Anna with the Bombay mint bears its diameter around 29.5-30.5mm.
