Maximize Profit on Steemit

Here are a few examples how to maximize your profit and efficiency on Steemit:

Daily Post Rate:

You should only post 4 times / day on Steemit. If you post more than 4 times, a new algorithm will kick in, and starts to tax any additional rewards you earn on the same day for posting. So better save your better ideas for another day to maximize profit.

Now there is an app that will show you how many posts you have left made by @mauricemikkres :

But I'm afraid it has a little bit of bug, as if you post 4 posts a day, next day the timer won't reset, only after 48 hours, so make sure you know how many times you've posted, because this would waste you 1 day.

As a rule of thumb I think Steemit works on UTC time so you just have to post the next day starting with 00:00 hour UTC time after you've post the 4 posts the previous UTC day. So make sure you set your clocks to UTC time if you are going to be efficient here.

Less is More:

Try to post less articles with higher quality, than more articles with lower quality. I personally try to always come up with interesting topics, especially revolving around steemit and cryptocurrency. Definitely don't spam, and keep your topic clear.

People have lower attention spans, so you have to be efficient and use as little text as possible to explain as much information as possible. The `information/text` ratio has to be high.

No Boring Topics:

Nobody cares what your grandma bought yesterday from the grocery store. Choose a popular tag and post in that topic area. Choose a primary tag that your topic will be centered around, and add additional secondary topics to try to reach out to more topics. Your tags should not be offtopic as well.

Think like this: Do I want to read this topic if I were the audience? And if yes, then write about it, if no then skip it, and find something better.

Nobody cares what your grandma bought yesterday from the grocery store.

But she bought some apples and paid for it with Steem! ;-)

Now that is another topic, I am interested now :)

My grandma bought butter, beer and cheese today.

thanks for the tips

No problem.

Where did you get the information about 4 posts a day and a new algo? I have been trying to find specifics about how steemit works and I can't find that. How do rewards work? All I read is this general " after 15 mins it's split 75/25 and you get nothing after voting after 30 minutes. It's not specific. Is it good to vote before whales? After whales? Does it not matter because its % based? I dont know but I barely get any curation reward no matter when I vote, and the only way I get anything is by voting in the first couple minutes and the post make 1000+$...

The 4 posts/day is true, and it's calculated probably on UTC time, the same day in UTC time, so if you've posted the 4th post at 23:59, you can post again 4 after 00:01 becaue it's another day. It's based on days, not 24 hour period. So the http://www.steemdollar.com/limitstatus.php is a little bit wrong, maybe @mauricemikkers can fix it.

It is good to vote before others, but if somebody with bigger SP votes after you, he might get more curator reward than you. Also if you have few SP, you wont earn alot from curation, you need to get more SP.

thanks for the tip about UTC time, I was wondering when my daily limits were re-set :)

Indeed, it happened to be today again, I checked the tool:

And it showed that i could not post, then I posted, and suddenly it got reset. I already signalled this bug, but so far it didnt got to the author:
