What about the Social Networking Marketing Potential of Steemit?

As everything mature with time, I am getting into the blockchain architecture of @steemit and I am able now to write constructive posts as to question and contribute to the direction and development of @steemit as a social network.

In this post would like to bring your attention to content marketing and reward (which is the primarily issue that's bring people to @steemit platform).

When the network has addressed important needs, naturally, people go where their needs are being properly addressed. That's just the reality and @steemit reward system has been doing just that .

Long Term Posts and Reward Expiration.

Unfortunately at moment we are at a Cul de Sac here @steemit platform.

@steemit - 24 hours - 30 days rewards policy does not benefit older posts or long term content that has a timeless potential or the approach that our audience will find us.

This is a serious issue that the platform developers must pay attention to at this early stage when @steemit is rising in price and eventually its market capital.

The @steemit reward policy, which are attracting more & more users, ignored the social network marketing potential of long term content that all the others platforms are successful for.

High content posts with long term potential, is an issue to be looked at which by the reward policy itself (which makes @steemit different from the others social network platforms) fails to comply.

Posts like a short film uploaded to Dtube platform, VBlogs educative content, a music video composition or the various interviews like posts, are all contents which has long term potential and need time to be recognized, digest and consumed by the public.

Many of us is unable to watch all of these great contents at the same time, we need time to digest and curated all the amount of information available, and that means many interesting interviews, shorts, VBlogs and music will be recognized after the 24 hours - 30 days rewards policy and it is right here where this issue needs attention.

This is an issue which does not happen at YouTube platform, where as time goes by , the content get more and more recognition and have the time to mature and eventually reach a large public within time, and eventually be monetize, again an issue which by the present reward policy here @steemit does not work as it should and lacks in it's potential.

We must bear in mind that we are in the blockchain, meaning that content can not be edited or deleted.

What is the solution? Is it to re-post content again and again every 30 days?

Although it sounds not right, looking at the marketing side of things, to market a short film, an interview. a VBlog or music content , the uploader needs more than 30 days to reach and grow it's public, it's audience and should be reward accordingly.

An interesting content with great long term potential, if uploaded every 30 days would in 5 years = 60 times, to be reward accordingly.

Is that the real solution for a content with long term potential to target a large audience ?

Or is it @steemit, a fast , cheesy, easy 24 hours - 30 days quick fixed, fast food style rewards approach to posts?

Many believes that the re-introduction of maintenance interval at every 12 weeks is the best alternative option, meaning that post expiration rate (which is the main issue of this post) would be out of the @steemit reward policies and non longer exist

This is in my view towards the issue of @steemit long term content rewards that would like to share and debate.

An issue which I think @ned, @dan, @andrarchy and all the others @steemit developers should look at, review, as to update, for the respect value of timeless content and eventually the @steemit platform itself.

What do you think about the reward policy?

What is your thoughts about the long term content reward policy?

For all to benefit.
