My 1 month Journey in Steemit - A Rollercoaster Ride!

Today I am officially 1 month on this great site Steemit. I was encouraged by @iwrite. He had invited way back in June but I was doubtful at first. But I caved in last week of Aug. But I had to wait for approval the, it took only 3 days so Aug. 30 I made my first post. On this site I met former bloggers from the then famous site "Bubblews". After the fall of the site I blogged on other sites. Some closed suddenly and usually just when I am about to cash out, lol. So I got a phobia when I hear of new writing sites.
But my friends and mentors @antonette, @bloghound, @bobiecayao, @iyanpol12, @stoutjodee, @ann4farmer, and a lot more.
My first few days I nearly quit. I noticed y article was not earning much barely a few cents. I even had one with Zero huhu. Then my mentor goaded me and saying I need to improve. I was mad but the anger gave me the motivation to prove him wrong, hahah After 10 article my 2nd intro got a good amount $14 and I was happy. Even though I had a few zeros maybe 2-3 and some were a few cents. I said after 2 weeks if nothing comes up good I might stop.
Until @antonette said we should try to make good long posts which are interesting. I was wondering what to write about until a member asked if I could write about Alzheimer and Dementia because her father was going to that stage. Since I am a nurse and my mom is experiencing it, I decided to write about it with pictures and research. It was my 12th post. Takes me quite a while to makes a post because I like to have everything ready. After that I slept not really aware of what will happened.
When I woke up I got lots of comments and PM congratulating me for being the first in the group to get almost $100 in one post. I was shocked so I checked it out. Thanks to @surpassinggoogle's upvote, I got seen and recognized by others who thought my post was worth it!. I was blown. In just 4 days I made 12 posts and got 2 big payments. Here are the proof. I have been paid already. The dates are when I made a print screen but this was just 4 days into Steemit.

That really gave me the encouragement to keep going. So I noticed that making so many small post does not earn much. I made it a point to at least make 1 post a day or every other day. That way it will get noticed more and gives me time to sort out my thoughts for the post. Also to prepare pictures and whatever else I will add. To make my article worthy to be read and upvoted.

When I started I had 28 reputation. Nothing in my SP (steem power) and SBD. (steem dollar)
I was still confused but with the help of friends and mentors I slowly got the hang of it. I also started to follow people and doing the things needed to be don, upvote, resteem, comment and share.
Now after 1 month my reputation is up, got hundreds of followers and following hundreds too. This is just the beginning.

It says 494 posts but they include the ones we resteem and comments. I have actually made 28 posts and this will be my 29th in one month. I have been paid with 9 good amounts and I have 4 pending. One will be paid in 4 hours. We get paid after 7 days we write the post so it gives time to earn more. Here are my 9 paid ones.:




As you can see they are above a dollar and 2 above $50.00. I am posting this not to brag (just a little hehe) but so others who will read this will be encouraged to join. I am not a professional or a really blogger/writer but just one with experience and a passion for writing and reading.

I also went around the site and checking it out. So so many things and learned a few. I even found out I had 20 top supporters and loyal followers heheh. Wow the big shots @curie and @surpassinggoogle. Wow thanks so much.

There are a lot of other things you can find out. I hope I can do justice to their expectations.

I still have 4 pending payments. So even before they get paid the rates may go up or down so we can never know how much we will get by the time it is due or matured.

There is still a chance the amount will change but this is the amount as of now.

So I hope by reading this, it will encourage other bloggers/writers to join. There are a lot of people willing to help. These are proofs I got paid.

So my 1 month experience was like being on a roller coaster ride. Ups and downs, tears and laughter and meeting new friends. No regrets. Special thanks to @surpassinggoogle for all the support especially to the Filipino community.
