Thanks for this nice introduction to blockchain and stuff. Comparing bitcoin with bittorrent was a helpful analogy for me.
I expected though that you also mention the Ethereum kind of blockchain 2.0 with its generalisation options and the idea of not only a bank account on the blockchain but a whole computer that can execute any software. At the moment I don't understand the relation between Steem and Ethereum.
