Mark Zuckerberg's net worth is $71 billion and how he earned so much is quite simple.

Zuckerberg created a social platform called Facebook and made everyone in the world create great contents and share it with friends and thus increasing heavy traffic on the website. Facebook manipulates the news feeds to generate maximum revenue from advertisements. Worst part is that Facebook users do not even realize that the great content they create could put the money in their own pocket instead of letting Zuck and his shareholders enjoy all the money.

Downfall of Facebook:

1. Allegations that Russian operatives tried to influence US elections by spreading wrong influential information in Facebook [This is the main killer according to me since it made the people realize the huge influence a centralized platform can have over millions of people]
2. Point #1 also made people realize that a decentralized model such as STEEMIT can be more profitable for the folks who create great content.
3. People are not Stupid [This is also one of the main reason for why Facebook will fail]

Bruce Schneier rightly said "Don't make the mistake of thinking you're Facebook's customer, you're not – you're the product." and this is so true. Sure it takes time for the people to realize the truth but eventually they do.

Blockchain Technology is a huge threat to big centralized companies like Facebook and Google. So they will definetly try to venture into the Blockchain Technology or try to fool the people with a whole new concept.
