Steemit Could Take over Youtube.

This is my first post but its just going to be about the prospects of steemit and the underlying concepts. I think this is a very novel approach in revolutionizing the social media landscape and is a very neat way of attracting large masses. However i think that we're still missing the biggest uses of steemit.

That's right . Youtube Videos.

The primary reason most youtubers make content for youtube and not other websites like dailymotion,yukou and what not is for monetary benefits. Youtube has been the first to create Youtube Partnership in which the content creator can pair ads (pre-roll ads) and banner ads. However the biggest issue as of now that had been effecting these creators is the advent of adblock which has recently lowered their earning rates to between 40-60%. That is to say that those who used to earn $1 for each video now earn $0.4-0.6 .

So what can steemit due. Simple. Just like bloggers are getting paid , video content creators can also get paid for doing the exact same thing. But now the creators , can have ads, sponsorships as well as the individuals who are watching. I think steemit should also focus on creating a platform for video content creators , which not only will attract even more masses but give steemit some serious credibility as well as a serious threat to the likes of youtube and tumblr and other social networks
