Open question about steemit

Dear community,

Let's assume the following case: you convince all your friends(let's say 20-50 people) to open a steemit account. Whatever you will post they will upvote and vice-versa.  Wouldn't this lead to fake upvotes, scam, etc?

I look forward for your answers, ideas and other questions.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

It's not a scam, unless they are bots and legit people adding to the drive of content then it's all good. But it's all about quality so just posting crap and having your friends up vote it doesn't mean it will be driven. Unless u got a million friends then in that case tell them to give me a little love :)

Friends? People are probably working on bots to do this. There will always be people who will want to game the system. It will be up to the developers to come up with counter measures for this, but legit content is what will always get the upvoted and strange behaviour can be flagged and reported.

There's no need for the developers to act, the community can prevent abuse like that, at least most of it, on its own.
