What TYPE of user are you. What type of users I hope to find on Steemit.

I am new to Steemit and I am very excited about it. Plenty of potential with an interesting road ahead.

Like any social platform gaining popularity Steemit will be populated by an eclectic crowd.

I have high hopes for Steemit because so far I like what I see and how easy it should make it for me to share thoughts, content and experiences but it will all be down to who our cyber-neighbours are.

On most social platforms we will find at least three types of users

Pure Users

The ones who are not mainly motivated by financial/advertising benefits, these are the genuine content providers and as a matter of course they will benefit from organic earnings based on the quality of their content (on Steemit)

Advanced Users (for lack of a better term)

Then those that, just like the Pure Users, have brains, common sense, talents, vocations, hobbies but are also marketing inclined, marketing aware.
These do add value to the platform, they can actually add A LOT of value. These users are also aware of how to (or learn and refine their skills to) maximise exposure and returns (financial/branding).
All good here, these users still add great content that benefits other users of the community. These users know how to benefit from the system but do it in a productive, constructive and respectful way.

Cyber Morons

Then, sadly there are the scammers, unethical marketers, grab and run marketers... those that destroy or at list disturb the experience for all the other users. They add nothing original, nothing of value, these are the ones keen to abuse any platform for quick gains. These are everywhere, Facebook, Reddit, you name the place… they are there.
Steal content from other sites. Impersonate others for click baits. They will tell you Oprah wants to talk to you about how ‘garcinia’ made her lose 30Kgs in two weeks.

So…
If the vast majority of Steemit users will be Pure Users and Advanced Users we are golden! Steemit will be the place to be!

I expect most Pure Users to quickly gravitate towards becoming Advanced Users because Steemit is a platform that does reward your activities with currency. Who does not want a bit of extra cash?
But even if some user had no interest in financial rewards, this user will still need to become a bit Advanced to gain exposure within a growing number of posts naturally fighting for visibility. If you didn’t want your message to be heard you wouldn’t post it in the first place.

Again, I think Advanced Users are perfectly fine. Their content can even be more specialised and valuable than similar content offered by Pure Users.

What type of user am I?
I will be bouncing between the Pure User and the Advanced User type depending on what I feel like sharing and contributing.

it’s all about adding value, having access to worthwhile content and help Steemit grow. The sharing of the currency-pot is genius, we all have something to gain if we all try to make this a better place for everyone.
