I can't believe it!!! I entered a contest that one of our Steemit Witnesses @theprophet0 orchestrated a couple of weeks ago and I was one of 10 "lucky" winners!

I actually got a little emotionally about winning this magnet for the outside of my car.
It's the very first thing that I have actually won on Steemit that was sent to me in the mail from another country and it was real. I can hold it in my hands and it's not virtual or digital. Imagine that!
This is the actual package that I found on my door step today. It was left by our mail carrier between our screen door and our side door. (As such, it was protected from the elements all day which is a good thing because it's been a little rainy here.)
I became emotional because it was confirmation that Steemit is real and it is full of REAL genuine people who get stuff done...they don't just talk about ideas, they take action and I am the recipient of some of this action. It's these little things that ultimately produce the biggest results for all of us.

I need a little clarification on the witness voting procedure. I have voted for you as a witness in the past...Do I have to keep voting or is one vote enough? I checked the voting site and it looks like my selections are still valid but I'd like to know for sure if I need to do anything else. :)

Wow. Great news. Your hard work is paying off. As you say, Steemit is real. I can only imagine the emotion you must have had when you realized what the package was. You have more evidence to present to the people, when you share Steemit with them.

I have been trying to get some of my family interested. I think I finally have some of the many convinced and they will join soon.
What I have found out is this. Most of the younger people only use cell phones or little note pads. That makes it more difficult to use Steemit. But, it isn't impossible. I will soon have to learn how to use a cell phone for Steemit myself. Ugh. I won't be around computers all day. Sooooo

Rebecca, yes I have a spouse. We can call her Pat and be safe. She isn't with me right now. So I have be careful. As you know, I go to her at the end of next week. Lots of changes for me then. Dragging computers, sheets of papers, records, etc.
The simple truth is this. If she had been here the whole Steemit time. I wouldn't be along the way as far as I am. Or as close to nothing as I am. lol

I just (tonight actually) read one of your posts from a month ago in which you described what it takes to be a witness, what witnesses do and some of the criteria around maintaining your witness status. There were many things that I didn't know like how many witnesses you can actually vote for and until I read your post, I didn't know that I could vote for others, from spot 51 on. I was also unsure if I had to keep voting over time, but it appears that my vote stays in place until I change it. Obviously, I still have some learning to do on this subject because I thought it was important for a witness to stay in the top 50 positions so that they could maintain their status. More research is required on my part. Thanks again. :)

I am working on this @thecoach. I ran into a small problem. I drive a Smart car and almost all the body panels are plastic so I have to figure out how I can affix it to my car securely so that I don't loose the magnetic sign as I am flying down the road. ;)
