Eid-Al-Adha.. Paying Respect to the Muslim Community, Showing Support by Taking Part with their Celebration! (September 01, 2017)

Do you know how important tomorrow is for the Muslim people all around the world?

• Some of us does or does not take part of the said event without knowing first the reason why we should. Maybe because we have different religions, cultures, beliefs and values in our lives in which it is a very big deal for all of us. But for the readers of this article, I hope that we can avoid that reasons behind and take time to learn and appreciate others as we are all given the freedom of expressions.
The very reason why Muslim people is celebrating this special occasion is because for them, Eid al-Adha is one of the holiest celebrations in Islam and marks the end of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia which must be undertaken once in a lifetime all physically and financially capable Muslims.

What is Eid-Al-Adha by the way?

• Eid al-Adha (Id ul-Adha) is the end of Ramadan. It is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. For the information of the readers' of this article, it is a four-day Islamic festival starting on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (Thou al-Hijja). Muslim people all over the world celebrating the said day to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son. The Muslims takes lives of animals with Allah's permission and offer them.

What animals takes part of the said event as an offer?

• Animals which will be part of the said event will consist of cow, sheep or goat according to the ‘an’aam classification.

As a sign of respect to the Muslim Community on their celebration of Eid-Al-Adha, universities all over the Philippines had declared tomorrow, September 01, 2017as an Official Holiday and so as the declaration that tomorrow would be a " no work, no class " day.

The University of Cebu, one of the most well-known university in Cebu, Philippines, declared that Eid-Al-Adha will be an official holiday as of August 29, 2017. This news has been passed through all the UC Campuses.

Not only the University of Cebu but also those other campuses here In Cebu, Philippines.
