My 2018 MANIFESTO

Protocol 1 ~Consideration

Consider that people come to Steemit for several reasons, yet we all come for one reason, that is to get paid for our posts.

Show consideration and respect for all Steemians and the work they do. And consider that we all come from different backgrounds and walks of life. Let us work to always find common ground.

Encouragement goes out to all to stand strong, weather all the storms in your life on and off Steemit.

Push through and keep going. You will see better days and profits if you stay consistent and no matter what DON’T GIVE UP!

Know that the things that you don’t like or that you absolutely don’t agree with do exist.

Know what and where they are and maneuver around them. Look at them as an obstacle course. If you have the power to bring change go for it. If you do not save your time and energy.

I offer an alternative suggestion, because all writers look for content, turn this energy or these situations that would get you down or cause you to have a very bad day if you let them, into writing. Don’t get mad, Write a book about it, or a post or a poem or a song. As I am sure you have heard the saying, “when life gives you lemons make lemonade.”

The Steemit Investors'-

From the investors' point of view, they look to see the best content possible.

They want to see that their investments are going to good use, which is why we should continue to  developing our best quality content. It’s about investments that will be turned into more and more profits.

Which is something we all want.

Here on Steemit we have been given an opportunity to express our gifts and talents in a crypto world and be a part of this new evolution of cryptocurrency. And apart of all things Steemit which is still very young. We can grow from ground zero up right along with Steemit.

There are many programs such as Minnow Support in place to help new Minnows to grow and move forward.

And as for the Dolphins and Whales, they worked to get to where they are. And they show us daily that anything is possible.  And it gives the rest of us hope, and a goal to work towards. I encourage all to read and follow some Dolphins and Whales to discover how they make it do what it do.

Hat’s off to the CEO’s and The Owners, the creators and visionaries of Steemit whose job it is to look to the future and make choices to keep Steemit evolving and growing. It's their job to discover the answer to questions such as, how can Steemit be better? What will benefit the platform, what invention and innovations, can and will be allowed to connect/partner with Steemit.

And then there are the Programmers and Technicians on Steemit, the ones you may not see or often hear from, that keep Steemit running. They are hands, on working long hours and being continually on call. Much thanks to all of them.

Protocol#2 – Have A Plan and make Intentions For That Plan

This is your life don’t play around with what you are doing here. These are precious and valuable moments of your life so make the best use of it.

First, decide what you want to do on Steemit. You have a varity of choices such as to  write, take pictures, do videos, cook food and display pics, travel, etc. All categories mentioned has yielded much success to different Steemian.

Protocol #3 Quality Content, Passion, Focus & Drive

Put your energy of passion behind creating quality content.

Don’t get distracted by always looking around at how much more upvotes, SBD and Steem others have. Be confident and DO YOU! Dig deep and find that drive within yourself to keep going and create the time and space to rid yourself of all distractions so that you can work and stay focused as you create your masterpieces!

Protocol #4 Get Involved

Take part in some of the Contest/competitions & challenges on Steemit.

I was so timid about doing this when I first came on Steemit 5 months ago. But when I won my first contest. I woke up everyone in the house (I think also in the building) and no one had to convince me to join the next one. I have won 3 contest and received as much as $40.00 in upvotes, on a post I entered that I did not win. It’s the thrill of the competition and the extra energy you get from the collective whole of all who are participating with you. Getting involved can be a lot of fun.

Protocol #5 – Think and Act as ‘WE’ Not ‘I’

“We Steemians Are Strong and We Steem On!”

Let us Collectively Move The Needle to a place of abundance and prosperity for all.

Anything can be accomplished and anything is possible when we think as a collective/group/team of  Steemians.

Make friends by commenting on their post and following them.

Protocol #6 – Give, Give, Give!

It is my goal to create a brand for myself to be able to do just this. It is my goal to have more than enough to give to and help others.

I am throwing down the gauntlet to all Steemians!

And it doesn’t cost you nothing to think about it or reply. (And I hope you do.)

What’s your unique brand going to be for 2018 that will up your profits on Steemit?

And last but not least two more ways we can all give as Steemians

Reply- This we can all do more of. For me, what you think of what I wrote is just as valuable if not greater, than a upvote. I need to know that I’m not just writing a journal and talking to myself.

And I don’t mean a one or two, word comment. Reply and express how the post made you feel. What it made you think about. And/or in what way did it help you.

I must say that the comments I have received from my post from people all over the world I will cherish a lifetime.

Resteem- Let us help others get more eyes on their post. Resteem the work of others. I have seen others that have been led to my blog because they saw my resteemed post on another Steemians blog. Every effort of giving helps, especially when we do so from the heart.

Wow, @rensoul17 what a great post. I had tears come to my eyes as I read it. I'm not even sure why - Protocol #1 - Consideration - does seem to be missing in a lot of people's lives. '"Know that the things that you don’t like or that you absolutely don’t agree with do exist." Great point!
"This is your life don’t play around with what you are doing here. These are precious and valuable moments of your life so make the best use of it."
Well said and possibly why I was in tears. Just today I heard David Cassidy(teenage actor from The Partridge Family) last words were "so much wasted time".
The rest of your post made lots of other great points! I love your stepping stone ideas for 2018. My problem is I don't have enough hours in the day to do everything and/or learn everything I want to!
So...I will have to prioritize things!
And one more thing, all of us on Steemit do need to "Create and Share Joy and Inspiration with the intention that it will reach around the world."
Sending you a hug!
Have a Blessed Day!

You just don't know how much this means, especially since I worked on this one for five hours. I think I was being a bit too meticulous. but considering that I really want to show all Steemians my heart and how passionate I am about what we have here. Thank you for sharing David Cassidy's last words, those are hauntingly true. And I will take his message to heart. And even if you just pick one or two stepping stones that would be good. And the last thing you mentioned came true immediately. My first reply to this post if you look above is in Spanish. I have no idea what it says. but he put a little musical note at the end. Which brought me joy and I did reach that part of the world of the Spanish community. Fills my heart with joy. Thank for sharing so much. Happy Holidays to you. @Violetmed.

Same to you! I put what he said in Spanish into a translator.
Prepare to be blown away @rensoul17 here is the translation!
"I long to know you more, live in holiness in intimacy, with you always want to be, your glory contemplate for eternity ♫"

Wow awesome. Thank You so much!! @violetmed

Anhelo conocerte más, vivir en santidad en la intimidad, contigo siempre quiero estar, tu gloria contemplar por la eternidad ♫

ok I wish I could understand what you are saying. But I understand the music symbol. So thank You.

Hello, I am a newbie in Steemit so thank you for this little Tuto about how to start with this social network. For me getting paid to post it is not my first target! If it's come great ! if it doesn't, never mind. What's great for me is the opportunity to talk with other people who are involved in Bitcoin as me. You're article is pretty good and I'am gone a share it right now. Best regards.

Thank you so much and welcome to Steemit. I am following you now and I will stay connected to you. I will support you. @weblandsmart

Awesome post! Thanks so much for posting..people need to hear this.

Thank you for reading my post @thethreehugs

This is a great post. There is much wisdom here that a lot of people need to learn. I love that we all start out as plankton and hope to grow into whales, but there is much that needs to happen (give and take) for each member to be successful. I started a few months ago on here and have tried to find a good rhythm to keep me going, but I'm still working on it. I enjoy being on steemit though! Thanks for the post!

Thank you for reading my post and for your comments. I do understand what you mean about finding your rhythm. For me I found that It comes from within and I write based on what I am feeling deeply under the topics of poetry and fiction stories and sometimes non-fiction like this one. Working on Steemit has helped me improve my writing skill more in 5 months than in the last 5 years. I am grateful for that alone. I said all that to say, find out what you are passionate about and write that. Much success to you @apanamamama

Thanks for the reply and the advice! Good deal that your writing has improved so much! :)

@rensoul17 Stay strong and steem on!

Yes, yes good advice @cosmicvibration.
