Do not be too preoccupied with yourself here that you give no chance to look at others who might just need a little shove to start off. Personal ambition would ordinarily make us to be self-centered.
Show some love to that person near you. That newbie needs a little coaching here and there to kickstart, help!
Look outside yourself and you will find someone you are better than who you can encourage. Do this and in no distant time, you will equally grow with it.
Let your life rub off on other life positively. I end this personal note and word of encouragement with this quote:

We are all one, and there is no greater calling (or feeling) than uplifting another. Everyone, no matter how little you think you have or know, can help and/or uplift someone else.
