Give me a comment about yourself and I'll upvote it

I don't want you to upvote this post, I just want you to leave a comment telling me something about yourself. I'm currently worth about .07 and I want to share the wealth. We need more community involvement to make this thing work, so let's get to it!

Edit: No, no,no. I said I DON'T want upvotes people, I want comments about who you are... come on.

Edit 2: Awesome, more comments than votes!

Edit 3: Thank you @theoretical for jumping on board with this and helping out!

I homeschool my sons.

-_- like you don't get enough of my ups...

I don't.

up-vote for homeschooling! You're not alone!

Hi! I like photography as a hobby. Here is my stream https://www.flickr.com/alenevaa

Nice, I play around with better-than-picture images sometimes, but my wife actually spent some time as a freelance photographer.

You find something in common with everyone! It's amazing.

Hey, I guess it just goes to show it's a small world afterall... and now that's stuck in my head. Ugh.

My Mom followed a 70's fad pregnancy diet while carrying me. It really worked out awesome for me. I have a high IQ , Same weight as in my late teen/early twenties. 3% body fat and I never have to exercise . I can eat anything I want. Giant bag of potatoe chips. No problem for my six pack. My balance is incredible. I can walk on my hands around the house. They were some kinda vitamins. I looked it up on Google once. I wonder if there are any other 40 year old who folks were exposed to this 70's vitamin pregnancy fad.. That's a little bit about me.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. We will have to keep that in mind if we get pregnant again.

I'm an EE (Electrical Engineering) student, although the blockchain has me considering the switch to CS. I can juggle 4 objects too.

Very cool. I love messing with electrical stuff, though I don't do it often. My wife can juggle but I've never really been able to.

I can only juggle 3 objects.

I would like there to be more content on Mars exploration on steemit

I agree, that would be awesome. I've been a bit of a space nerd since I was a kid and it just doesn't seem to quit.

I'm a developer by hobby and sys admin by trade. I enjoy finding new cryptos and new projects. Cool thread you have going here it really gives a great insight to the user base :)

Cool, I'm a sys admin by hobby. Yeah, I wanted to be able to share my wealth without doing the "vote me and I'll vote you". That's not philanthropy.

Well you are doing an awesome job :) Thanks for the vote

I appreciate it. And thank you for yours.

Hi. I am a 21 year old student of linguistics in Wales (England). I like to game and do creative things as much as possible

Nice! I'm a sucker for creative use of linguistics.

I find this post fascinating thanks for getting a more personal conversation going. Something about myself- I lived in Hamburg Germany in the late 90s and it has forever changed my perspective on the world.
I also have a 1 year old https://steemit.com/parenting/@corbie/to-my-son-on-his-first-birthday-a-violent-summer

I keep seeing people talk about how they want Steemit to be a facebook/twitter killer but we definitely need more community involvement if that's going to be the case. This is just a little effort towards that end. I can only imagine what living in Germany could do for someone. Happy birthday little guy!

Hi, I'm 35 and trying blogging and cryptocurrencies for the first time. I enjoy video games and nature.

Well hello. I'm 33, tried blogging a few times (I don't have a lot of self esteem about it) and I've been messing with cryptocurrencies for a little less than a year myself. I also enjoy video games and nature, though lately the lean is much more on the nature side.

Have you ever been to the great smokey mountains? I went earlier this summer and had a blast. There was a dragon fly as big as my hand that landed right on my shirt. And at night the fire flies come out by the thousands.

Yes, I have a couple of times! I'm planning to get my family down there at some point, hopefully before the boys get too big and the idea of driving up into the clouds wears off.

Hello fellow steemian. I am millennial taking on an exciting and ever changing world. I pride myself on being a renaissance man.. I was recently introduced to Steemit. Being the creative mind that i am, this platform just has so much to work with. You asked to post about me. I play guitar, drums, and piano. I snowboard, surf, wakeboard, and longboard. I am a gifted at drawing, photography, and writing of all kinds (this post will not be the example for that). I have a huge love for physics and how it shapes our understanding of the universe we "exist" in and our place/role in it. I work in the realm of politics, but I am an entrepreneur at heart and I am currently calculating my trajectory of the Hill. Most of all, it is my passion to help people come to realize their own potential life and to inspire them to fulfill that in a way so that they may do same for others on their mission to be successful... while becoming a successful businessman my self of course. That is why this platform, and people like you and I are so important. This platform seems to be, or should i say steems to be, the answer to so many challenges we face in out current socioeconmic state and the culture that drives it.

Awesome response! Well here's to you, me and the success of the Steemit platform! May it be the positive change for the world we are dreaming of!

Thank you!

I got into crypto about 2 years ago, and I've invested about ~$4,000 in the Steem ecosystem in the last 48 hours.

My wife is pregnant with our second son who should be born on 8-1-16 and I could not be happier to have him be apart of my family. I am enjoying the path I took in life and where its lead me to at this point.

Awesome! Yeah @justicepirate and I have two sons as well. They can be a bit frustrating at times, but I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING.

Hi im new still very unsure about this place maybe its my age 52 to old to learn new tricks

Welcome aboard Karen (I'm going to assume that's your name). This place is still a bit of a wild west, but we're working on making it what we know it can be.

Looking forward to the future in Steemit, yeah my name is Karen wow how did you guess lol

Im starting a new job next week and my brother just got back from afghanistan!

Congrats on the new job and having your brother home! I know dealing with the stress of someone deployed is a big deal.

Neat. What kind of job?

I'm a mechanical designer, married, avid weightlifter, can get lost doing anything on a computer.

Computers are a wicked, dangerous black hole.

My name is Eric, I’ve been a writer for the past couple of decades (www.ericvancewalton.net) and have been a Steemit member for about three weeks now. I was intrigued by the concept of Steemit from day one. I hope that Steemit plays a part in my lifelong dream of being able to leave my day job, travel the world, and write full time. This is my master plan.

This place can be a bit... unpredictable, but I think it will be an awesome place to be eventually. Just hang in there and stay involved in the community!

this is kinda cool like meeting a traveler in a train station and striking up a convo - photography was the catalyst for all of my travels & I now do a bit of commercial time lapse work. Appreciate the vote on my lantern pix!

I like that, yeah, I guess that is how I expected it to be, meeting a fellow traveler and just chatting while you wait.

im coli from Colombia.

Hi Coli, nice to meet you!

where are you from dude ? your nick rember something... something that idont know jajajaja

I'm from the U.S., east coast. My nickname is a play on the word rocksteady, a genre of music from Jamaica in the late '60s. My first name is Rob and rocksteady is my favorite kind of music so I came up with the name Robsteady. This is the name I use on pretty much all my social media and internet accounts. Were/are you over at BTCPOP? I was a regular presence in the chat over there for a while.

Perhaps it was great bob marley influence of that style of music,

Soy Romner de Venezuela, tengo 27 años

Welcome to the fun! I wish I had gotten into cryptocurrencies when I was 27.

me when i was 34 never its late

Yeah I did at the tail end of 32. Definitely not too late, but I had heard about bitcoin a few years earlier and just never paid attention to it... whoops.

Well, i've been around 2 years in this world. The important thing is to start :)

Ok @robsteady - As you can tell from my latest post catch-a-minnow , I enjoy humor. Two of my recent plays on words are asking people "Exactly what are you incinerating?" when they insinuate something (sometimes even adding "'cause I smell smoke" and telling old friends with graying hair that I think it makes them look more "extinguished".

Hahaha, the play on incinerating/insinuating is amazing. I never thought of flipping those. I'll have to use that.

I was author for Cryptocoinsnews and Cointelegraph for a view month. So probably you were reading some of my stories, too. Mostly covered interviews and german news.

It's a possibility, though I tend not to read too many news articles. I like to just ride the waves. It is cool to see a crypto contributor here though.

Hi, i am a newbie here, added few posts and hope to earn some :)
also upvated your post

Well thanks and welcome aboard! Don't let a lack of votes on posts deter you. The system is still really young and everything is still being figured out by users and admins alike.

Hi robsteady, wanted to drop by here after your invitation yesterday. We are 4 science enthusiasts that work on ScienceNewsJournal.com and we want to bring the latest science news to SteemIt as well. We are hoping to build a following and eventually make science news our day job. But I think that is going to take a while. No worries, we won't give up in any case :)

Have a great day and thanks!

Very cool stuff! Awesome to have you around and I'll make sure to keep my eye out for your posts!

@robsteady you are awesome!

I'm just getting back into the swing of creating content, and Steemit has got me more excited to write, & edit than anything has in a long time.

Thanks. I'm just trying to do something to help everyone out. It may not be much, but it's better than nothing.

I'm from Mobile Alabama in the U.S. I'm looking for a way to get everyone off Facebook.

My name is Andrey. I'm from Syberia. Enterprise developer, crytpocurency enthusiast and yogi.

I got involved in cryptocurrency in 2013 after a friend mentioned Bitcoin (and I'd heard the word before). I consider myself to be experienced with cryptos but I'm always learning something new. I find steemit fascinating from the technology perspective. Steemit's predecessor is the Devtome, where writers get paid in Devcoins for posting content to the Devtome. I was very involved with that and still contribute content there occasionally. Steemit definitely takes the concept a few steps further. I really enjoy writing, and I've done freelance writing projects and gotten paid in Bitcoin, Devcoin, Next, Diamond, and DNotes for my work.

I am a professional poker player and coach. The italian school I work with finances dozenz of player to play poker, giving them free coaching and a way to make a living.

I like having the opportunity to share my experience helping other people to earn a decent wage, but poker is just a competitive game, while I would like to work in a cooperative environment.

I am committing all the time and resources that I can to understand if Steemit can become a good opportunity to change my job, not only for me but also for all my students.
After being involved for many years in the online poker world, I understood that most people that try to make a living with poker do that because our economic system doesn't allow us to follow our dreams.

I liked your initiative so I upvoted many comments. I am worth 0.04... better than nothing :)

Very nice. I've read a couple places where people say steemit has helped them get over a gambling addiction and feel better about their income as a whole.

I have an idea!
For your 7 cents you may organize a challenging and funny game "Seven Word Biographies".
The goal is for players to write their life story in seven words exactly.
For example:
Jail time, reformed, steemit, married, millionaire, happy! :)

That's pretty slick. I like the idea, but I don't want to make people jump through hoops. I'm more than happy to dish out what I can, while I can.

I'll make this game when my vote will weight 0.07 :)
