This is a great help and reference. I will have to check back often to put it into good use.
Thanks for your time and contribution to the steemit community!
P.S. @stellabelle is why I am here! She is great and we've worked together on her book: "un-crap your life"

Great sharing, love the depth, heart and openness of your share and journey. As a 'newbie' it really helps in getting a feel of the people already on the path. After watching Stellabelle in her truth and boldness, jumping in full force, done lurking....~ljl~

Hi, I am happy for your success :) but there are things, that I miss on this steemit site. Like notifications, personal messaging and mostly, explanations for newcomers on the website. There is nothin we can click before making decisions, no help sections :(

This is all being worked on. Keep in mind this platform is less than 2 months old!
Well-worth the patience for these extra features. A bit of extra work to dig for such answers, the rewards are there for those who put in the work...

Yes, help sections would be most helpful, but finding some in the postings. ~ljl~

Just had a read through a couple of your posts after seeing this one. First of all (obviously) super dope, hence your success! I'm curious, how do you keep your posts flowing with such regularity and substance, have you always been of a blogging type character, have you acquired skills since beginning on steemit, or are you just and obscenely interesting person! I'm finding it hard to get everything in my head into posts of substance and cognisance so far. All my 'intellectual' posts I can't put up cos I'm not happy with any of them!

I've always had an excess of creative energy. I didn't always know how to constructively channel it, and ended up with a lot of addictive patterns and inner chaos. I felt compelled to both write & produce music - writing flowed smoother as I hadn't built up the full production skill set yet, though I was never really applying my writing constructively a more just a lot of reflections and trying to blow off the steam (pun not intended) from the backed up energy, posting as Facebook notes and some blog stuff that I was too self-conscious of, due to the neurosis infused into it, to actively build into something more - though it was also just what I had to go through at the time.
I've been doing a lot of consciousness development work the last couple years which has created ENORMOUS transformations and working with technologies I can't even begin to describe, and have been going through massive integrations this year from everything I'd been learning and doing prior...
When I got into Steemit, something got activated. With the incentivization - and a realization that a wise management of my energy to create constructively & consistently could provide me the financial means I need to get to where I wanna be with such ease & grace so quickly, the flow just turned ON. There's still creative frustration, because I've got ideas coming for pieces to write faster than I can bang them out
I DJ for a living, but the season is stupid slow this year, so I've got a lot of time on my hands - so the regularity is just a matter of being in action - which surprisingly, has just happened as though there's a fire under my ass. We're in a window of opportunity, and it kinda feels like for all the preparation I've been doing and all the time I was waiting to get focused on something worthwhile - Steemit was the green light. I'm also planning to move back to Canada in November and need a proper income stream, had no idea what - so when this showed up, it was sorta like the universe opening a door - but I had to walk through it by getting fucking obsessive about living up to walking all my talk.
Regarding not being happy with your intellectual posts - that seems kinda like where I was at a few months ago, and was one of the reasons my writing kept stagnating before - so I can relate. I was there for quite a while. It seems I have broken out and spiralled up to a different level - and it's totally possible for you too. If I were asked "how..." Well, I'd have to be asked to be wise to give suggestions. Though asking the right questions can go a long ways... (as can responsible psychedelic use)... 😉🙏

Your welcome, and thanks for the feedback.
And, this feels like a good opportunity to pass along some words that made a REAL impact on me a few months ago - (while in a crazy breakdown experience I wrote a good story about here)...
I can't remember the exact wording used, but it was about how people often say "thank you", unknowingly as a way to relieve a sense of indebtedness to having been given something of value...
While it may be honourable to express gratitude for such gifts - leaving it at a simple thank you may actually be a DISHONOR, for the gift was not meant to be received and the debt payed back to the giver, but to be paid forward...
The guy stated very bluntly: "Don't say thank you. Take what you need, and pass on the rest."
I really gotta dig to find his exact words and put out a story on it, cuz it's fucking profound. (A buddy of mine thinks the guy might be Satoshi Nakamoto, lol).
But the essence of it: don't feel an obligation to say thanks. If you're grateful, DO SOMETHING with what you've taken away from it that makes a difference for someone else and inspires them to create more value for others.
Inspiration don't mean shit if we aren't putting it into action to serve others. Truth is impotent until it's consistently acted upon with integrity.
I do appreciate the feedback. Putting out such a post definitely made me uncomfortable, but reading it has such an impact on people is reassurance to keep it up because it just might be making a difference. NOW - go pay it forward... 😊

WoW, after reading your post it doesn't surprise me how well you have been doing here. I really should put more time down to make more original posts and find my own style that hopefully entertains others. If not I would have at least tried and not wasted time like on other social platforms.

"Do or do not; there is no try."
"Should" is the key word there. But WILL you...?
Most won't.
You already have the answer. It's straightforward. Already spelled it out, just need to put into action...

I'm new to steemit and kinda poured my heart out in a write up yesterday only to have it completely ignored. I'm not really interested in money but I would like some semblance of validation that what I write matters. How do I break through?!

"Every person beginning a story on Steemit does have their own unique perspectives, life experiences, knowledge, wisdom, and talents to bring to the table."
I think this is the crux of it, as long as that can be written down with good style.

This is very helpful and motivating to read! As someone who has been in a very similar situation paralyzed by an inability to act on my goals, this is a great post to get started. I'm hoping to post similar content on my own blog, I am in the process of getting an International Business degree and I feel like I'm learning too much to not share and give back!

Just do this!
I hope you can have a read on my first 2 articles and help me out.

You've spoken directly to my heart here rok-sivante. I'm so glad I stumbled over this article. I became a steemit member just a few days ago, and I've been feeling so nervous and anxious ever since I pressed that publish button. I've been checking in on my comments and account countless times as well as re-reading my posts 10x times; are people going to like me? shit no upvotes. Did i share too much? Shit, this is blockchain and its stored here forever, what will my parents or even my children think when they read my blog posts - kind.of.a.nervous mind chatter going on... After reading this article, I felt relaxed from my gut and out. Finally breathing again here, and feeling more grounded in my self. Those nerves are certainly there for a reason, sharing the truth is a brave thing to do. Thank you!
