I am one of the 80% of people who only read 20% of this post but I watched the whole video vsauce posted on youtube about this.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
