Steemit Update [October 27th, 2024]: Community Curators for December – Applications Now Open
By [safa-za]
We hope everyone in the Steemit community has enjoyed the new format for the Community Curator teams this month. As we move into December, we’ll continue with small teams and a more “freestyle” approach to content curation.
Community Curators for December
For December, we invite those interested in becoming Community Curators to apply in teams of two or three.
Application requirements:
• Minimum Steem Power (SP): Each team member must have at least 2500 SP.
• Diversity: Ideally, team members should be from different nationalities and live in different regions of the world.
• Different Communities: Team members should not be Admins or Moderators in the same communities.
All seven teams in December will have the freedom to vote on any types of posts, as long as they are not plagiarized or AI-generated. One team will be given the larger @steemcurator03 account (1.2 million SP), while the other teams will each receive around 700K SP.
Expanding the Scope of Curation
We encourage the Curation Teams to look beyond communities, as there are many great posts published directly on personal blogs that are often overlooked. Additionally, teams should allocate a portion of their voting power to vote on high-quality human-generated comments. Quality comments add value to the Steem blogging ecosystem, and we want to support and reward them.
How to Apply as a Community Curator Team
One member of the team should create a post that includes:
• Details of each team member: This includes their history on Steemit and any positions of responsibility they have held on the platform.
• Nationality, language, and country of residence for each member.
• Key statistics for each member (SP, CSI, Reputation, Delegations).
Each person can only be included in one application. The tag #curatorapplication should be among the first four tags. Applications can be made in any language and must be submitted by 11:59 pm UTC on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Community Curator Rewards
Each day, all teams may allocate one full vote to a team member’s post, ideally rotating among members. In total, no more than 10% of the team’s voting power should be used on team members each week.
Once a week, one team member should post a report in the Steem POD community with their top 7 posts and a brief note on why each was chosen. These reports should set beneficiaries to share the rewards with other team members and will be voted on by @steemcurator01.
Thank you to this month’s Community Curators. We encourage you to apply again for December. New Curation Teams will be announced by the end of the month, ready to begin in early December.
Please remember not to contact the Community Curators asking for votes or to be selected as a Post of the Week. Anyone doing so may be barred from receiving votes from @steemcurator0x or @booming.
The Steemit Team
Please do not post copies. It spoils the beauty of the platform. I request you to pay attention. Awaken your thoughts and maybe you too can become one of the successful steemian. Hope you will pay attention.
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
