I'm personally brand new(ish) to writing on steemit but still feel a little guilty about upvoting my own work (or comments)... Maybe that'll wear off before long ;)

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    You get 10 full power upvotes a day so spending one or two on yourself is understandable
