What is Solidarity?
In the Millennium Declaration, one of the core principles of international relations for the twenty-first century is solidarity. Solidarity is the recognition of shared interests that fosters a sense of unity among societies. The UN wants to bring people out of poverty, hunger, and diseases via cooperation and solidarity. Alternatively, we may define solidarity as a bond of agreement or unification between people who are working toward or opposing a common enemy.
