I am new to the blog and trying to figure out the site and the related steemit tools.

Steemit naming

To start, I was triggered into Steem by visiting the website https://steem.io/ after reading I found out https://steemit.com/ is the blogging platform. All looks very promising. But I still get confused by many usages of domain names carrying the name ‘Steem’.

I looked at the excellent http://steemtools.com/ page by @roelandp and noticed many Steemit apps and services. For me it seems anyone can register domain names caring the name ‘Steem’, ‘Steemit’, etc… I sense Steemit can attract a large audience, but my sense is that as a community a strong consistent visual identity is needed. As in my own discovery I am a bit lost in what belongs to Steemit and what is e.g. user generated.

Steemit brand identity

I have search for visual identity guidelines for Steemit, or brand identity assets but unable to locate. It seems steem.io as a strong visual identity. Maybe it would be an idea to create visual design guidelines for steemit.com to create a consistent look and feel for e.g. user generated apps. Similar to https://en.facebookbrand.com/

A strong consistant look and feel for Steemit.com and e.g. user generated apps/services would build on trust for first time-, and returning users. I would be more than happy to contribute in creating identity guidelines for Steemit, please hit me up and we will take it from there.
