Maybe not today, but who knows about the future!?!!!
In my opinion steemit has a real huge potential and could become the better and fairer version of Facebook and Co.!!!!!!
Why that?
Because I know more and more people, who don't agree with Facebooks terms and how they use and sell peoples private data. The idea, that not the platform earns a lot of money with peoples data and advertising, but the people themselves are paid for their time and energy, seems to me a real good solution. Social Media Is no longer indispensable, but a blockchain-baised solution is not only more up to date, then also more logical and more fair.
Let me say it in one sentence: It is better for all of us! Why not use this solution?
A lot of my friends are posting stories and videos all the time. It is not possible to have one dinner with them without them telling me stories about their posts, them reading new or even old posts, them doing actual posts (Yes!!! POSTSSSSS!!!) of our dinner.....
What if they would all be paid for their time???
Time is money! This is no new wisdom!
And most of all, it is our time we spend on social media. Till today we spent a lot of our time so other people can earn a lot of money with.
I am sure, this will chance. I think, it should!!!
But of course today is not the day after tomorrow and I still see at least two problems, which must be solved before mass adaption.
The first problem is, that nearly nobody knows about steemit especially and blockchain in generell. I heard, that only 0.5% of the world population is involved in the whole "crypto world". And tell me, which youtuber, then the people who's topic is crypto, is already also here on steemit? Who of them already know about this platform and the opportunity to get paid directly?
Of course I told and will tell my friends and I think, so do you!?!?!? We will see, how long it takes.
But here comes the second problem, which comes immediately into my mind.
Me for example, I live in Germany and of course the people in Germany speaks german. But here are not so many people writing and maybe also understanding my mother language. That is why I (try to :) write in english, because I was afraid, if I will write in german, nobody will understand my post. ( I hope my english is ok and you don't mind about mistakes)
For me, it would be very interesting to know which country are you from and which language would be best for you to write and read?
Do you see any other problems, I didn't mentioned?
Would be very nice of you, if you answer one or some of my questions in the comments, so we can discuss about the topic, what will happen with steemit and how long it will take to mass adaption of a blockchain- based social network.
My opinion is fix. Steemit or maybe another blockchain-based platform, which will be there in the future, will become bigger than Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter etc. all together today.
Go, steemit!!!!
I think steemit will pick up a lot more as the word spreads. People are definitely more likely to use social media platforms that pay you instead of gaining a few likes on a post

And how many people do you know, who are on steemit?

None personally. The problem with people I've told about it is that they think it's too good to be true. But many YouTubers have started promoting otherwise, showing great profits that are enticing more people over, and which is what has been causing the price of steem to shoot up recently.

Well I don't think it is good or bad. It will depend on the type of content that People will be sharing in here and also the direction the community will take when it comes to evolution related with the content on the page :D
