Something that bugs me with steemit is the fact that they constantly add and change functions to the front end page. It may be just me that finds it annoying that when I get to the page a day after my last session there is suddenly a new button that you can use. This button gives me no explanation what it does.
I find the lack of a "new functions" page quite frustrating. I might just have misses this page tough. How does you keep up with new functions and changes to the page?
I agree there is a little bit of a learning curve and after you have learned how to properly use it, something new comes along. As with most developing technologies documentation is an afterthought and is usually AdHoc. A new functions page would be a good start. The tool tips are helpful.
A function I would like to see is the ability to add alerts, email would be a good start, eventually adding it to the eSteem mobile app would be great.

You obviously didn't play video games on Nintendo.
... and yet you have Google? And on the trending page @dan wrote about it...

I think you mean @dantheman it took me a couple minutes to find the post and I was looking for it! https://steemit.com/steemit/@dantheman/introducing-the-reblog-button for anyone who wants to read up on it.

Ok, I don't really see the linkage here with my post but; Yes I did play Nintendo whatever that has to do with this?; No I do not use Google, whatever makes you think I do; And I do follow @dantheman and did not read his last post about this function.
Most changes to this page are NOT mentioned or explained by @dantheman, and he is not usually the source I think of when wanting to because of that. The changes to the top navigation a while ago was not mentioned anywhere what I think of.
What I would like to see is just a "feature" page and new features added to by the time they appear on the page. Maybe from there link to a post explaining more, yes. But subscribing to all devs feeds just to keep up with why something was added is not the way to go; I might not even be interested in their views of Steemit itself, but just functionalities added to it.
Just my view on the matter here.

Sorry .. just poking some fun.
Nintendo games (like Megaman 1-3 especially) were notoriously challenging. There was an instruction book, but much of the tricks you still had to learn yourself.
Documentation is always a positive, but I don't mind surprises, I guess is my point.

I agree - if this thing is so centralized, where is the road-map? Even fb needed one of them!!

I didn't know Beta was equal to no need to document changes.
