Lots of people worry about what to write each given day on Steemit. But the truth is that there are hundreds of things to write about. In fact, if you participate in contests, you will never lack what to write. So today, we want to look at why participating in contests is a nice way to earn more and get to know more people.
3 Reasons why you need to join Contests.
For the sake of newcomers, a contest is what it is - a competition where people win prizes for doing something. There are several reasons to why participating in a contest is the right thing to do. Take a look at some of them.
1. To win the prize
This is the first and foremost reason to join a contest. Usually, there are rules for participating in a contest. The participants with the best performance wins the biggest prizes. Each contest has a prize for the winner or winners. To win a contest, each participant needs to put in his best and beat the others. Once the contest is over, the winners are announced and rewarded accordingly. So, the main reason to join a contest is to win the prize. On steemit, the prize is usually Steem or SBD.
2. To build relationships
Contest help the participants and the author to get to know each other better. On steemit, one of the most usual things that happens in a contest is that participants are required to follow the author or make a comment as part of the participation rules. This leads to people getting to know each other more and what they write about. Also, the winners of a contest are so happy that they want to follow the author and keep up with his activity. This could lead to enduring and rewarding friendships. When we participate in contests, we could begin a long journey in friendship and this could turn out to be more beneficial for everyone.
3. Opportunity to make a post
Contests give us another opportunity to make new posts. Some contests require the participants to make a post as an entry. As much as this post would be a contest entry, the post itself also makes its own earnings. So by the time it pays out, It could earn much too. So in addition to winning the contest, the earnings also becomes another incentive for making a post.
Talking about contests .....
There are some contests you could join this week to build relationships and help you earn. As a general rule, you can always check the "Contest" tag under "New" to find new contest to participate in.
