Is it possible to kick someone off of Steemit or ban their account?
My default assumption is no, but I am too new to Steemit to know the answer.

Your account can get banned on steemit.com but not on the steem blockchain. According to the terms of service in section 16.1
"We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services in our sole discretion, immediately and without prior notice, and delete or deactivate your Account and all related information and files in such without cost to you, including, for instance, in the event that you breach any term of these Terms."
its funny thou many ppl are breaking the terms by using bots, using the steemit logo without permission... oh well yolo, remember to back up your account.
