A lot of the good things that steemit was about, like sharing content without outsider censorship has been infected by spamming for likes also. It's sad.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
