I recently started a series of posts with the goal of developing a dialogue within the Steemit community of ways to improve the platform, especially as it relates to new/minnow users. These ideas will be important before we transition into the next phase of Steemit, mass adoption.

Previously, I discussed the idea of having a better way of filtering posts on steemit.com. Please check out that post here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@sepracore/ideas-to-improve-the-steemit-platform-october-25th-edition

Today, I would like to discuss an idea that was proposed by @viraldrome in the last installment of this series. They proposed that it would be useful to be able to categorize people you follow into different lists. I think this is a fantastic idea. The way I envision this is you could have close followers, casual followers, etc. You could then sort by these list. This would make it so you could follow a decent amount of people but still see all of the posts of your close knit friends. At the moment, if you follow too many people, your feed becomes overwhelmed. What are your thoughts on this?

I wish we had a way to delete or at least hide older posts. Some of my older posts are embarrassing 😀

I wish we could search articles based on whats new and not just a random assortment.

For instance, If I type politics in the search bar and click enter, I will get articles from last year, 3 days ago and 20 seconds ago all mixed around.

I just wish there was a way to sort from newest to oldest haha.
