You can purchase more steem for downvotes. (This is where steemit begins) You can buy steem for upvotes or downvotes... When you upvote yourself, your money crates another money. Think that as a staking on crypto side.

There are some misconseptions on here...

Some people says, self upvoting has no sense for blockchain, not ethical... I'm pretty sure people behind the steem already thought this and you have the ability to understand it as a marketer. I'm also pretty sure nobody give upvotes for bla bla... But you have massive upvotes for your bla bla.. All we have a chance to get upvotes for our bla bla... There is no difference between in this situations; an account has lots of friends of whales or a whale account with no friends. This is why you became a witness even you have any knowledge about server side (I'm sure you have a team for it) or one of the top earned writer (as a marketer). You are in a win-win situation but you are blaming other people. People don't have to play with your rules on here. There is no written rules with your thoughts...You can prefer give upvotes for your friends all the time and they can give upvotes back for you or you can prefer upvote yourself if you have not friends. I'm sure nobody give upvotes without purpose..
