As we approach 200+ Shadow Casters and are beginning to move from our beta to full production there are a few changes to the internals that need to be rolled out.
Post limiting
In order to fairly handle all our members' posts we will begin limiting your weekly posts to 15. If you post more than 15 we will only submit the first 15 you create each week to the Shadow Queue for up voting by the Pool.
Shadow Rank allocation
Shadow Rank will be heavily weighted toward members with a high Steem Power. We will release an entire description of the changes this week before they go live.
Voting Power
ShadowBot will no longer attempt to maintain your Voting Power above 98%. Many of our members either do not want or do not understand that currently ShadowBot only votes when your Voting Power reaches 100%. We will be implementing a new Voting policy as follows:
Shadow Caster's will place up votes when their Voting Power reaches 100% or if it has been more than 4 hours since the last ShadowBot vote placed, which ever comes first. If you do not allow your Voting Power to recharge fully each day, ShadowBot will simply vote for you every 4 hours regardless of your Voting Power.
These upgrades will ensure EVERY member is getting their fair allocation of votes as well as providing daily votes to the Pool, not just those who conserve their Voting Power properly as it currently is.

By having under 500 SP your curation rewards are lowered greatly by ShadowBot. This is directly the reason you do not get a slider and is something we are working on designing a solution that works for all. Ultimately unless we kick out members with less than 500 SP this is an issue we have a difficult time working around.
As we shard and scale the bot voting times will become faster. We do prioritize posts by expiration date to ensure the most chance to get up votes currently. Our limiting of weekly posts will allow faster up vote times and greatly increase exposure!
This is a great point and we are adding into settings an on/off toggle switch where you will be able to ignore voting on NSFW posts.
There is an algorithm and your posts get up votes based on your shadow rank. All members' posts are placed in the shadow pool and all members up vote those posts. The more you contribute to shadowbot the more your Shadow Rank increases thereby the more you will receive in up vote power from the pool!

Limiting weekly posts is a great way to ensure that everyone gets equal upvotes.
I still feel that the bot needs to Upvote on newer posts so that they have a greater chance of reaching the trending/Hot page.
But my over all experience has been great and I hope I will reach 500 SP within the next two months and I hope I will earn more rewards.

Yes you will still get up votes in fact if you are playing by our guidelines you should see more earnings as over 100K of the 125K SP is currently NEVER voting. These changes will limit abuse much more and allow us to access 100% not less than 20% of our combined SP!
