Alexa is a very bad way to measure popularity anyway.
Last time I checked they get their statistics from people that run their toolbar.
Or other toolbars that send the results to Alexa. So the way Alexa gets their data is phishy and not at all representative for the globe. Since anyone with half a brain isn't going to be installing third party toolbars or sending his surfing habits to Alexa.
