Hello my comely followers!

I have a treat for you today. Because today I'm going to show you how to gain lots of followers fast.

Trigger Warning: this actually works if you do it regularly, so if you do it be ready to get a lot of followers.

It has EVERYTHING to do with #introduceyourself and #introduction

Here is the step-by-step process.

1 Go to the "NEW" tab

2 Click on #introduceyourself under "Tags and Topics"

3 Find an authentic looking #introduceyourself post. I've picked this one from @rajulul

4 READ THE POST and leave a relevant and encouraging comment.

Protip: @ yourself in the post so people can find you easily.

If you do this frequently for a week along with the other things that I talk about in my 6 part Beginners Guide To Getting Started With Steemit, you will be well on your way to building an audience for your content.

This is very true. It does indeed work. It also has the side effect of why I do that sometimes. I actually never did it for followers. I did it to make people feel welcomed to steemit in hopes they will stick around.

Hello @wisecrackco and welcome to Steemit. It's a great platform for creating content. I am sure that in the future it will become the number 1 platform. I will be glad to read you.

Very true! It's interesting how being self-interested on Steemit actually produces a more welcoming and open community. It's great!

Hello @shayne and welcome to Steemit!

This is a great place with a great community -- glad to have you around!

@heimindanger

Well done

You win 5 internets.

You have understood everything, I can see it from your profile pic!

Long live to Snuffles!

Hello @shayne

I found out by mistake that this works because i run a contest for new steemians on @literature-trail and i always chat with them and tell them about the contest.

But my last post talks about in details how to win followers with commenting.

@ogochukwu

Yes, it's a trial-and-error thing. Hopefully we can help new people get through that phase a little quicker :)

Solid advice for sure.

Thanks :)

Very good tip. I did this at the beginning, when I wanted to connect with other newbies. Great way to find awesome talents too. :)

It's one way to involve yourself in the community. And -- personally -- I just like doing it, too, as an ambassador.

I like that. Ambassador Shayne.

That should do it, Yes!
Nice :-)

Thanks

Community spirit pays!!

Hell yeah!

Thank you Master Shane, your newbie guide is extremely helpful and with this new pro tip @merchdesigner is going to be a STEMM rockstar soon.

Thanks a lot for saying so! I hope you get as much success as you can. :)

Thanks for the great post! As a new steemer I've been struggling to get my content out in the open. I am a new health and wellness / lifestyle / alternative history blogger for anyone interested :D

Great tip! Also makes it a friendlier and more welcoming place for legit new comers... :)

Indeed it does. Thanks for commenting :D

You certainly have do have a lot of followers; perhaps you have stumbled upon the secret to success =)
The interesting thing will be whether there will be an increased number of friendly and encouraging comments on #introduceyourself after more people test out your one weird trick ;)

I sure hope that's the result. People who are brand new here would do well to get some encouragement right from the start.

In other words, still WORK HARD - but now at least you know HOW ; )

Well, I doubt anyone will know exactly how to do this for any extended period of time, but some tips really do work better than others! :D

Resteemed. Been doing that when I have time but maybe it will help other little minnows like me! 😂

I think any activity will help you grow on Steemit. But some faster than others, for sure.

Another great tip ... Thanks :)

Oh, you're welcome

dang,i'll have to introduce myself over and over...ugh...like aversion therapy, facing what i hate most!

You hate meeting new people? Oh dear…

no...i hate introducing myself...the handshaking the telling people i'ma junior manager at dollar general, extra...all that..i hate it

tell people you're an astronaut.

I found this to be very useful and have listed it in a simple guide to Steemit that I put together for new Steemit users, that links to pages like this on the major topics, such as steem, steem dollar, voting power, etc. Thank you!

@shayne you re amazing!

Good post, I will try this out. Upvoted

This works but the upvotes won't be worth it you know..

not today, and not tomorrow, but building networks takes time, and little minnows can swim up to dolphins over that time

I would rather have 25 10 cent upvotes on every post than a $100 whale plop once a year ;>

Takes a lot of time though..

yes sir, it does. hell, that should be the motto of this place ;>

occasional big payouts are good; I have got them and I appreciate the whales that look for content...but what will make this platform continuously rise in value is for each user to rise in value and support each other ;>

I know..I was just pointing out the obvious.
I'm too here for the long run.

no problem ;> I just tend to throw a little caution around when folks want to see the money after a week here.

The established Steemers spend some time welcoming new Steemers, which is good, but it can cause some unrealistic expectations re:earnings. Took me 10 months to earn 4k..and 90% of that value came from the recent spike in price

Enjoy the place as it is, and smile when the money eventually comes in; do the work, and it will!

Yeah I agree. Steem on!

It's more of the spirit of the thing at that point, I think. Supporting community however you can.

Yeah..that's what it is :)

Great thanks for sharing i am trying

I will try to do it, because i am very low of followers. can you follow my posts ?

don't understand the one called BONUS TIP how does it work

Thank you for this, this will surely help me!

@krumblecake

notice how I used one of your tips there ;)

nice one!!!!

amazing

So I have to comment in such a way that other up vote my comment for eg: america is best , india is best , germans are innovators , indian are creative ,,, right ?

Thanks again for spreading your knowledge and experience. Many steemers will be the beneficiary of it. You rock Mr. Shayne.

Thanks. I appreciate that a lot.
