Publishing on Steemit doesn't seem to matter in the long run

Hi cool topic. There are good things in writing blogs/articles/etc cause of information gathering and being mentally healthy, for me it feels when I m publishing the expense on buying a website / hosting a website is less no monthly fee or yearly as long as you link the links on other platforms you dont need to own bought other website to link your tutorials or etc, and somehow reading is a good entertainment too. plus a bonus of rewards just being a author or curator. and about the system of new or hot things to read its a bonus head start to become know as pointing out what is your blog/article/etc all about. If youll somehow curious on earning/profiting to earn passively there are lot of contents I guess in this website that might help you. I ve heard there are games had the ability to profit as you invest and if popularity being fame is the goal isn t it good to had a reputation on a website that supported by crypto currencies and million readers trusted . reaching the highest reputation level will be a good part of resume to have a fans . - shiku

Hi, and sorry for taking so long to respond, this week was a mess.

While I agree with pretty much everything you said (the fact that publishing on a website like Steemit costs nothing compared to hosting your own website, or getting rewards as an author, or having the ability to get into the new/hot section or discover articles from other people), my main "problem" is with the fact that it seems like I or other people could not get a lot of attention or rewards for articles that were published let's say 6 months ago.

It sometimes feel like Steemit is made only for the now, only for new articles. It seems like everything will be relevant for a few days, and no more, because of the system that doesn't allow you to upvote older articles, and because of the sections the website has, "Trending", "New", "Hot" and "Promoted" that only feature new articles, but not old ones.

As I said, it seems like each article is like a coin you toss into a fountain wishing for something. If it happens (in this case, if you get rewarded or receive a lot of attention within days), then great, if not, then your coin will be lost forever (in this case, your article will be forgotten and you have no idea whether people still see it or whether it get any attention at all).

It's not necessarily a huge problem, but it does seem like something that may make a lot of people consider publishing on other platforms where they feel like they can succeed with an article whether it was published a few days ago or a few years ago.

Hi ! I m very sorry for my late response. I m super duper mess up in my time management .You have a point yet.. Had you tried visiting newspaper website? if youll notice. Those are for background check and their articles soon to be history like might reapeted publish if no big things happen today nor future. . Its is same as steemit yet theres a difference if you have followers you will able to resteem and share what youve read and those are rewarding too like affiliate rewards as long as it is very useful as it needs/demand it will be a trend and soon will be a reference of other students or researchers or wanted to have some good entertainment . the more useful the more reference of others outside the steemit. example a app review . if your a critic wanted to give credit to a app you must ensure that the app have no bad reviews so how will you know if there is no bad reviews the www .google give you a research complete answer with proof if the app have bad reviews or dont have bad review. and all articles about the app new or old are still important same as biography of a person . for me reward are reward yet do you have the skill to create a something . as much as possible published somethings that you dont have a expectations . if you somehow super duper expecting something it will be the best to bought a very own website earn the expectation youve expect you can solo the profit of you own website add advertisement and etc ...

Hoping you get my point ..
