Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 2/1/2022.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 5 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 2/1/2022.

Firstly I hope that everybody passed New Years Eve well, whether you spent the night quietly or being loud partying hopefully the first day was one of rest, recovery and clarity going forward. Unfortunately unlike back in 2018 we didn't wake up to Steem reaching $8 instead you probably noticed that recently the price of Steem did drop corresponding with the Bitcoins falling. SBD's took a hit and did recover but not as much as I was hoping for still we can't complain about that as it's still a better result than no recovery at all, as certain movements do make it easier for reaching our Steem Power target. As for the weather I can't believe how mild it was for new years evening, sure much later it got pretty cold and so I was glad to have the extra layer on but honestly I can't remember it ever being this mild since being here. However this morning it was much colder luckily as the day went on it got a little milder. When I had a few spare moments lately I have been trying alot of different things on my phone with the intention that I would start receiving text messages again. It seems that whatever it was I done it's been slowly fixing the issue to the point that now I believe I'm receiving them all. Yes I did think it was probably time to get a new phone but I didn't really want to do this yet because the phone itself still looks almost new and works generally well. On the topic of phones for some reason I got banned from WhatsApp without a warning or justification, this is frustrating as it was a good way to communicate with family who are far away and the same with a few far away friends. Today I had work was in for the morning shift while it was my first day back for others this was their 2nd day in for the year, I'm so glad this year my days off were a little more fair for once. I noticed there was alot of stuff that was not updated so I made some complaints to the staff and they quickly got on with updating everything before the work for later would arrive which was fine with me as by the time the real work got in a was leaving. I done my usual duties so it was peaceful which is what I was hoping even if I had the day off yesterday I still I only arrived home around 3am. On the day I somehow got out late from work, no idea why as we all seemed ready to leave on time but somehow didn't. From what I could gather most people were not really doing much for new years eve "except" for ironically for the guy who claims to be homeless lol? Apparently he expected to be done partying around 4 to 5 in the morning lol, I'm yet to ask him how was he's night? Still I feel somehow the lesser celebrations in general is partly to do with the covid virus. I did find it a little comical the day at work this guy came in claiming he as covid but can't prove it to be off work, yet this is despite him having done many test. Apparently this because the tests keep saying that he's negative... to which so he reckons he keeps getting false negatives...lol I guess he's never heard of false positives either? Honestly he seemed like he had the flu and was just trying to get a few days off work. I think if your feeling that bad you shouldn't be coming into work "covid or not" this is because the body needs rest in order to recover. Last time I was in it was very odd as there was a ton of work coming in for my department but yet the strange thing is the superiors decided to put me somewhere else. This was a extremely stupid move on their part as I noticed a mistake that my colleagues started back on my actual department. And while most of the work got done in the end it wasn't done correctly meaning it took someone else the following morning a few hours to fix it all LOL. They wanted me to stay extra for Christmas Eve "I told them no". In the end there was no doubt I made the right choice as I arrived home early for Christmas. I believe Christmas was better this year and the big reason for that was simply not only did I get home early for Christmas but also because I had boxing day off I didn't have to worry about being %100 for work the next day. The plant room somehow had a leak and so needs to be aired out but the problem with this is the large vents inside with the door open it let's in a ton of cold air I'm just glad that the door as recently been closed more often and the weather milder occasionally. For new years when I did eventually finish work I had to quickly get home so I could get ready to meet friends as we had the night planed to go out and eat at a old styled diner. After eating the plan was to go watch a movie at the cinema which wasn't really something I thought of as I would of assumed it would be closed. After watching a film the idea was to end the night by going into a nearby bar or club. Haha well the night started in a complete disaster because they wouldn't let us into any of the places we wanted without bookings or paying extra high fees for other features that we had no interest in. And before you remind me that we should be aware of this because it's new years "Yes" we knew this and checked their websites online for mention of any restrictions which were not mentioned anywhere. My friends were left fuming with the constant rejections and it nearly ruined the night, I mostly found it funny how these places are desperate for customers and money but yet they were turning down costumers who were showing up they are essentially sabotaging their own business. So with me pointing this out we put our heads together and hunted for other places who were just as desperate for costumers but were smart enough not to be doing all this booking nonsense even if they were less that half empty. We almost managed to find complete alternatives to the whole plan we at set from the start and honestly it was a pretty decent night and as already mentioned above I only arrived home around 3am. It's been strangely happening anyway lately that getting less sleep I somehow feel like I have more energy, it makes no sense but surely it's not healthy to have a lack of sleep but have more energy. As for the progress on fitness I lost about %70 of the weight gained by the lockdowns and so have continued to try and shed the weigh off by tracking my step count per-day and doing small daily workouts. I started all this back in mid April last year and continued until the beginning of October as this is when my work schedules began to revert back to normal which made it too difficult for me to continue. I come to the conclusion that it had to be put on hold at least until "New Year's Eve" was over. I will of course try in the mean time try to get in a workout, but so far this as not been possible. As for steps the app for recording them is no longer working correctly and so for now this will also be put on hold until I get more time to look into the problem but was aiming for around 105k steps per week.
