Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 23/1/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 23/1/2023.

With such a fall in price this actually helps us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Due to the price drop and the continued support from you guys we actually managed to hit 43k before going into 2023 which was definitely great. However it could of been a lot better but we lost some support a long the way, although we also gained some and so I guess it's not all bad. We must remember to celebrate what we have rather than feel sad about what could of been. However since then the price as gone up a bit on most coins including Steem, yes it's a good sign but not for reaching our goal lol, still Steem sells at a good price and many experts claim this jump in the market is just a fake incentive to get people interested in buying again but we have to note it as been holding rather well. Anyway these days our average daily electrical usage as got so much more costly for us when compared to what it was just a few months back. Since the 1st of Jan it once again went up in price as these greedy energy companies just don't stop milking all they can from people. That's one thing I really don't like going up in price.. well that and the many other things which recently also went up in price. I mention this as it cuts into investment and these cold months don't help either. I doubt January will bring much better with the weather being colder, the cost of living is spiralling upwards and hitting hard, this leaves many wondering when will it get better and when will it all stop? The bad news is most likely it won't, I mean it never as before and so why do people continue to think there will be a reverse on these costs at some point? On Jan 14th I saw a news article asking the same question but claiming as we go deeper into the year the cost of living will get better, and since then there as been more articles claiming that this will be the case. Well I don't ever remember hearing or ever seeing the cost going down, it always goes upwards so good luck with that. Apparently the reasoning for all this is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. Still the on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

As for Steem the Steemit community in Korea are holding a special offline meetup in Busan, this will be on February 4th Saturday. A top 20 witness "donekim" is inviting questions from the Steemit community that he will put forward to the Steemit team before the meeting. He then hopes to report back with their answers and so if your interested in reading more or asking your own question go to the Donekim Steemit Team Qs post. Steem took a big fall ever since the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. Still the effects of Bitcoin falling as made it so that there's a lot of cheap Steem out there, and that's been catching my attention. It's what I like about Steem, it still offers so much opportunity for those investors who realise the enrichment that comes from holding such a token. In one way I wanted the crypto market to remain on the lower end for a while longer, this is to try and get some discounts on various cryptos and in turn hopefully getting a small ROI. Well I'm in no rush for it to go back up to where it was our intensions with these trades is to simply continue having a means of building-up a little more Steem Power. As for TRX there was also a drop in price but once again.. we have stopped receiving TRX rewards. There sure seems to often be issues with receiving these TRX rewards and so I do wish they would focus a little more on this re-occurring problem as it looks so bad on Steemit. From what is understood initially there was bug/issue with how TRX was being distributed, from what I could see instead of receiving half we was still getting almost the full amount. It is a little surprising just how long it was taking them to basically cut the TRX rewards in half, I mean wasn't this announced like back in October 2022..? The team were saying that all these TRX rewards from it's down date will still be received into our wallets once the issue as been resolved. Hopefully this will happen but I'm assuming what will be received is the TRX "at the new rate of earning" and not the rewards we had previously seen being displayed. There was a note saying that the issue would be fixed before Christmas but to no surprise we are heading into the 2nd month of the new year and still nothing. However we do seem to have the correct amount being displayed on the wallet page now.. progress? I hope so... actually I received some TRX on the 10th of Jan but when I next receive rewards I checked the following morning to see if they were received and even checked today but there's still nothing coming through.

Since the past few years have been mostly awful I don't expect this one being much better, people just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more and doing horrendous things to each other. And it seems that once again acid attacks are on the rise, another crime is drivers deliberately running over people in hit and run incidents.. like what on earth are people thinking. When I got up this morning it was pitch black as it was still very early, I thought I was going to struggle to get up this morning as I went to sleep so late. Also it was the first day back to work since going to my friends work ceremony and so hoped it would be a easy day. As I made my way to work the grass was again completely frozen, I expected to be feeling colder than I did. When I got to work I was doing the usual which I expected and was glad about but I ended up doing 3 different things. This was actually mostly my choice it was so "relaxed" this morning that I ended up helping others which normally I never end up doing this because there's no opportunity to help. A little later there were more staff about so my help was no longer needed, it was at that point when got a little busier so good timing. I was glad to be in for the morning as it would mean by the time the extra work would arrive I would be gone from there. Just as I was leaving I heard the superiors having a discussion, not sure what they were talking about exactly but I did hear my name being mentioned so I wonder what it was about. I didn't think much else of it and left for home which was nice to leave earlier than usual. This gave me plenty of time to get things done at home, I had received a message from a friends saying they were sorry there was no communication over the weekend as it seems they were depressed about something. Kind of weird as they had just received big praised for their hard work this Friday but the following day they end up depressed I wonder what was wrong. Anyway I got a call from other friends wondering about the pictures I took at the ceremony event, I assured them that the pictures were ready and that as soon as we could arrange a meet-up I could deliver the photos. They seemed happy with that and so I was left to get on with the rest of the stuff of needed to get done for the day I just hope they will be happy with the photos. We are being warned about getting "snow bombed" but you know last time they warned us of a snow bomb it didn't touch us so let's see if we get hit this time.
