Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 23/4/2024, under the hood it's been a 7 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 7 years.

There also as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "7 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earning rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all.

April 2024-Bitcoin reached over "70.000" again on March 25th and so the high season wasn't done just yet thankfully. We had yet another fall from Bitcoin but likely you have witnessed some of the many bearish traps for investors to try and navigate. We also had the Bitcoin halving that for some reason everybody gets excited about because it's suppose to mean a ramp-up on Bitcoins worth but in all honesty in previous halving's apart from yes a bump-up I noticed it usually falls more than anything else, still this of course does help with it's overall value but not in the way most would claim. So who knows if the bullrun is truly over, I only really mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. However not a lot of movement from our own token this time round compared to previous years which is very sad. Perhaps we have to be more patient, others would argue that it almost doubled since it's bottom, and so while that was something to celebrate Steem as done much better in the past. However with that it also means that Steem itself is essentially still wide open "price wise" for the smart and small investor. Last night I went to sleep just past the usual late hour, actually a little later compared to yesterday which is disappointing. This was because of trying to get as much done as possible before my mini holiday is over. When I did go to sleep it was cold but I managed to fall asleep rather quickly, I'm better prepared lately for the night by putting on a blanket over the sheets, surprisingly while it helps it isn't by much but it is usually enough to get me through the night. Also the heating was on but unlike the previous night it was likely needed as even with it on there was still a chill in the air, which is just insane that to think at this time of year it's continued to be so cold. When I did go to sleep I woke-up probably about 10 minutes before my scheduled alarm which was set for a little later than usual as I wanted to make sure I get enough rest. I went back to just resting as I had the intention to get started for the day but in the end I continued to rest past the alarm which in one way I didn't mind, this is so I get a good amount of rest so that I don't get sick again. As for the weather this morning similar to yesterday where it was nothing but gloomy, the previous 2 days were brighter but today it's remained much darker and so surely this time it will rain. But of course it will rain today, it will rain for the same reason that I went to bed late and for the same reason I rested longer, because today I return back to work argh. Well at least to start with I don't have a early shift and so that means even with waking up later I still had some time to get some chores done. I checked in with my father as he was experimenting to see the results of a test he made which as I suspected had a little disappointing result. But I guess it could of been worse I was waiting to tell him once the weekend is over. I sent him over the details and was surprised to not have heard from him yet about it perhaps tonight. There are two events later in the year that I wanted to prepare for, I sent work the time off I needed, which I'm hoping "this time" they will allow me to have. Yes I'm still disappointed about the one coming next month that I likely won't be able to attend as work already refused to allow me to have that time off. But If I'm lucky I might still get one of those days off work organically which I should be able to check-in with in another week or 2. So I looked online with work for these requests but still nothing is said however I do think they are now looking into it. After that "time" was up and I got ready for work and left the house, I was glad than even with the dark weather it was actually reasonable outside except for the wind, I also disposed of some rubbish as I went to work. Once I arrived which was a little earlier than I expected I looked for possible signs that there may be extra work to be done today. I was hoping that on the first day back there wouldn't be any but I soon saw the guy who usually deals with it "making he's way in" which was disappointing lol. I spoke to him briefly and he explained there was more to do than the usual, while I wasn't happy to hear that I wouldn't be there to deal with most of it. When I had time later I looked over the stats and yes there was a lot more to get done for the extra work but as suspected I didn't have to deal with it much by the time we got started. I also had a look at the weekly tasks and was glad to see I had only one and it was mostly simple, this is likely because of the time off from work I had. When I left work and headed home the wind was a little calmer making it slightly more pleasant. Arriving at home I didn't have much time before I was going to meet with friends online, for the half that turned up we came to the conclusion to cut this one short as many were missing and those who were there are tired. Setting up the new laptop the other day placed me shocked and disturbed by the state of our technology these days, I'm well aware of how much information is tracked but these latest laptops are nothing but full-on spy machines, it's disgusting. There was also no way to by-pass set-up without having to be connected to the internet, it's ridiculous have people really forgotten all the things you can do without the internet on a computer, like writing or reading your documents, storing pictures, using software, these are just to name some. The internet is so they can force you to have a account with them and force you to use their tools and applications. Amazing to think how many people simply comply with all this nonsense, initially they didn't even let me use the services, tools, apps I wanted, they would even go as far to defer me from using them by making suggestions that those tools aren't needed and that they have better alternatives. Seriously I just paid money to excess these things by purchasing a laptop you morons don't tell me what to use instead, honestly is there no thought process into this anymore?! As for Steemit.com there as been talks about doing PR for the site which I'm sure as all been done before and while in one way adding more people could help the tokens value I believe it would be better to try and educate those who are already with us. And I don't mean education on content creation but on how the site and the token is valued, again not by content but by holding the token, buying etc. Others are working on updating the look of the Steemit.com website to something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic. They have got to the point were inviting alpha testers to try the work so far as been called for. What I would like to see is just easier excess to all parts of the website. Sometimes I feel have to be too much on the right page to get to where I want to go.. if that makes sense. Onwards there as been mostly promises of war happening everywhere, more countries are slowly getting and warning their citizens to prepare for war. Such a war in this day and age will be devastating and so we must continue to work to remain at peace and not fight in wars that don't belong to us. Before we finish I would like to ask if anybody can recommend any website to watch movies or series for free without a VPN, a upvote will be sent if it's good.
