Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 4/8/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 4/8/2023.

August 2023 this marks us past the halfway point of the year already, the Government is doing trials on universal basic income schemes. This isn't the UBI for those who don't have jobs but it means everybody will get this wage. UBI as been in the works for many years some think this will solve many problems while others believe it will cause more of them, it could also very well destroy the value of any currency who takes this scheme up. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem. This also had part in helping us reach for our main goal this year which was to finally reach Orca this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. A 6 year project in the making was finally reached on July 21th. Also if you want Steem to be a success or just looking to earn more you should vote mostly on those who do not power down. Powering down lowers the value of Steem, meaning it lowers the value of your investment and even the Steem that your earning from posting. My account is a example as one of the very few on here who is not powering down rewards. I also buy into Steem often, your votes encourage me to keep on buying even more which helps tackle the Steem price from being low. By voting on these posts we try to protect and raise the price of Steem, we also plan to use this to buy even more when the price goes up we are also considering using this power to lend others for Steem to try and raise the price of Steem. We are experimenting a bit with this but still a long way from having the Steem needed to fully try so your votes are welcome on getting us there. During the bitcoin downwave from 60k it also sadly took down the value of SBD's, however SBD's have done a excellent job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is that SBD's will once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again. As for Steemit the Team they are having better results with smaller curation teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there is less room for curator positions and so competition to apply as been tougher, however it's said that the rewards will be greater. Tron as been once again not appearing in our wallets it looks like a general issue but it's probably connected to the fact that TRX will once again be reduced going from the ratio of 1 Steem to 0.25 TRX or in other words meaning that will be 0.25 TRX for every 1 Steem Power earned. Not going to lie I feel this kind of sucks I'm wondering now if they will continue to lower it until it will be zero. The cost of living is spiralling upwards the reasoning said for all these high prices is the war in the Ukraine, guess we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history, they attack, strike up fear, call-out threats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

Last night I went to sleep earlier than the usual late hour, this was mostly because I knew I had to be up very early in the morning and so tried to get organised as much as possible. I slept well last night with the little time I had which surprised me with all the stress and on my understanding of my trip likely to be a wasted one, still I only got about 4 hours sleep. I did wake up before my alarm which boggled my mind and I began to worry if perhaps I had missed my alarm but this was not the case. I rested until my alarm which was not too long away from alerting me. As for the morning weather I noticed that lately it begins cloudy, strange for the time of year but I guess at least it's not boiling hot, however it has started to typically get very muggy. While we recently had nearly 4 days of sun in the morning this time it was mostly cloudy but for the time of morning actually very bright. There wasn't much time to do much of anything this morning as I had to get in for work, when my free time was up I went for a quick breakfast before changing and then heading out to work. It was a little brighter by this time which made sense as it was very early morning but at least I didn't feel cold at all. My hayfever started on Thursday June 8th I have so far had 3 bad experiences this year. June 25th being the worst, it was severe enough that it took me over a week to recover from it but since that week I have not had any hayfever. When I got to work I expected to be doing again that silly long winded check task from last time I done the early since it was the same superior who arrived this morning which I did not expect. We had a quick chat and she mentioned that we wouldn't do the long winded task as it doesn't need to be done everyday to which I asked her if we still done the shorter one? She said yes but apparently even that one now would still take too long so she will get me to do some other tasks. Strangely this never really happened infact I didn't even do all of the things I would normally need to do because she already done them for me. I thought it was odd but what I didn't know was that we was waiting on a extra member of staff before I could start doing the extra work. In the end this extra work was not started last night at all and so being kept for us to do in the morning. This of course would mean I don't get to go home until later, which is fine I could of spared 1 extra hour or 2. The guy arrived late which the superior was not happy about, this delayed us obviously but I didn't mind. However I did find it cheeky he mentioned to me we need to hurry so we can go home when he was the one who arrived late. I'm assuming he was joking but honestly I was not in the mood and too tired to even get into that discussion with him. We finished later than I wanted but honestly we completed the work very quickly which the superior was happy about and mentioned as I left. After work I made my way home to get a few things done and change to go and meet with friends. The idea was to go down town as there was a folklore festival but unfortunately that doesn't fully start until tomorrow. So in the end I wanted to go to this place where I really enjoy the pizzas there it's just most time we are in the area it's either too late or they come up with some stupid excuse as to why they can no longer serve. I said to my friends I guarantee there will be another excuse today which they all thought I was joking, honestly I wasn't and when we arrived and started looking at the menu the guy informed us he couldn't serve us because there was a water leak.. My friends couldn't believe it that yet again we came here and could not be served, hey I told them. In the end we decided to get food somewhere else and had a great time catching-up where our food almost got cold. After that we got on with the task at hand which was to get some supplies for my friend as he was having some visitors over. Once that was done we chatted for a little longer and said our goodbyes and I won't be seeing them in a while now as we are both going on separate trips. On the way home I couldn't believe how any people were out but I guess the weather is nice and it's a Friday night. While there was many people out there wasn't really any weirdos. I have most of the documents organised for my trip now, still waiting on one more which I expected to already have by today.. great more stress, but yet because of incompetence from some family I don't see matters being resolved this time making this in my view a big wasted trip. When hanging out with friends I learned that 2 couples we knew had split up but surprisingly were keeping it very low key on socials. I say strange as they have partners who love drama and attention so it's unlike them to not be announcing everything. One of them as also started a weight loss business which I have my doubts that it will really go anywhere and it's something I will be looking into as some claim she's just selling muck.
