Announcing the Steemians that made it into @abh12345’s Engagement League and will receive a 50SP delegation for 8 weeks

Last week, I realized I was very blessed with the amount of SP I had, so I asked myself why I shouldn’t delegate it to people who need it more than I do.

There are plenty of new users that can’t perform whenever they want here on SteemIt, because their SP-level is so low they run into bandwidth errors.

So, I started a contest, in which I asked participants to join in @abh12345’s weekly Curation League contest.

The 3 people that would perform best in @abh12345’s contest would receive a 50SP delegation for 8 weeks.

But first, they had to prove themselves they would be worthy of the delegation.

The weekly Engagement Leagues

Every week,@abh12345 runs a contest called The Curation And Engagement Leagues, for which he pulls stats from the SteemIt database to see who were the top curators and the top engagers of that past week.

The Engagement league was what I was aiming at for my contestants.

The Engagement League’s score is determined by how many comments you make in- or outside your own blog, the length of these comments, the number of witness upvotes you make, and the number of votes you make, in total and on different authors. It also discourages self-voting.

Asher’s contest has grown pretty big during these last two weeks, and it is a great achievement to even make it to the top 20% list that is being published every week.

You can’t imagine how proud I was to see one of ‘my’ contestants taking second place, in his first week already. He had made it up to 50SP himself already, so he didn’t qualify for my contest anymore, but instead, he received a 50 SP delegation by @abh12345 for his outstanding performance.

Scrolling down the list, I was pleasantly surprised to see 4 more of ‘my people’ had made it to the top list:

21st spot: @xomegax

29th spot: @seenitallfilms

30th spot: @crypto-econom1st, our King of Curation, who also managed to kerp his crown in the curation league

40th spot: @mirrors, who has joined this platform only a week ago and already seems to know the ropes around here.

Congrats on all 4 of you guys (and girls)!

I honestly didn’t expect to see any of my contestants make the list this week yet, so you can understand I was simply over the moon.

Instead of just 3, I have sent all 4 of them a delegation of 50SP, because I definitely think they’ve proved to themselves they’ve got what it takes to go a long way here on SteemIt.

The delegations have been sent, but remember, I’ll be following up closely. I don’t want you to go sit on a beach somewhere, thinking you’ve got nothing more to prove. I’ expecting you to make at least a couple of posts a week, and achieve similar results in the Engagement Leagues for the weeks to come.

For those of you that didn’t make the list this week, don’t beat yourself up about it. You have been competing with the best.

Keep trying to climb up higher in the league every week, challenge yourself to do better every time.

This is what the platform is all about. We lift each other up. It is so much fun engaging more rather than just asking to be followed back. I hope with these kinds of contests, steemians will be encouraged and challenged to interact in a positive and helpful way. Cheers to all!

Hey! Congrats on being part of this initiative, but I really need to congratulate you on your animated banner ... cool branding material :D
Looks great and gives you a better feel... i guess the group banners beneath do the opposite though... too many, but when it comes to delete them I know it isn't easy.

Let me directly share some info about myself and ask a few questions. Do I really need to write a couple of posts per week?

In the month March I had the "post" month from my project. But April is for writing serious comments and may for funny comments. This way I how to investigate what works best.

So since April just started I was planning to write less posts. For the coming week (or 10 days) I have planned 3-4 posts. But after that it could become really quiet on the posting front. And I don't want to write shitty posts, cause that probably won't help anyone.
