Life of an average Steemer....are you one of them?????

Everyone in this awesome Steemit community has come on board with huge expectations and aspirations. Some have made it big and some haven't. The enthusiasm is still there and everyone is putting in their best efforts to have their big moment.

Very soon Steem has become part of our daily routine and our lives revolves around it. For an average steemer like me, our lives go like this:

  • Like everyone else, our morning starts with a huge (just as huge as our expectations :D ) hot cup of coffee:

  • Coffee brightens up your mood, rejuvenates you and forces you to wear your thinking caps and create that perfect post that you have been waiting all along. And then you start working on your post:

  • Sometimes you are so involved in your post that you just keep on including all the stuffs that you know just to make it lengthy and valuable, meantime forgetting that you are growing old with it also :P

  • After some time you happen to finally wrap up your article. You just feel that you have written the best one ever. You are simply in love with it and is damn sure that others will love it as well:

  • Your confidence is sky high and with that you finally hit the "Post" button. There is an inner feeling that this is it, this particular post is just going to shoot up like a rocket and will definitely catch the attention of some big whales. In the process you just happen to forget that there are a lot of other hard working people as well:

  • And then, the never ending wait for votes, likes, comments begins. You keep staring and refreshing the site as if its going to help with the popularity of the post :P

  • After some time you start getting the feeling that you have been:

  • So its time for another coffee break to freshen up your mind. Its also time to take a break from Steemit and check some other sites:

  • But your mind and heart is still on the article that you recently posted. You finally gives in to the temptation and logs back in to the Steemit site. And there you go, your post is just the way it was before you logged out. Still no one has liked it and you just can't understand whats going wrong :(

  • You are frustrated and irritated with the response that your post has got. You are trying your best to remain calm and hope for the best possible output, but in your mind you know that you wanna:

Or

  • You slowly start to get the feeling that may be even this post for which you put in so much of effort might not be as good as you had initially thought it might be :

  • Suddenly you get a feeling that it might be possible that there are not many people (or whales) online now, so that may be affecting the success of your post. So you start checking the other trending sections of Steemit and that was enough for you to go nuts as you see articles posted after you have made a lot of $$$$:

  • Finally all hell break loose and you give into the temptation of:

And at the end, the same routine continues over and over and over again.....

Well that's how majority of Steemers (including me :P) feel when their effort doesn't get the output that they have hoped for.  But such failures (or rather lack of appreciation) should be taken as a stepping stone for much higher success. You never know your next post could be the money spinning game changer for you :)

Attempted to put together a short story that could depict the daily routine of a "Steem-addict".

Hope you like it, let me know how you feel about it.

Thanks,

Steemit Depends on Followers or Awesome Content

  • Many followers means lower quality content still gets promoted
  • Zero followers means you need awesome content
  • Without followers, awesome content requires promotion

It's not enough to simply sit back and watch the stats on your post. Unless someone sees it in the first few hours, chances are good it will slip into oblivion unnoticed.

The only reason I saw this story is because you promoted it elsewhere.

Again, haven't even made $1 for my post :P , going through the same feeling as mentioned above ... LOL

Ah, All same here tooo. Great Post though! Shout you an upvote.

Great post! Wish you the best with more!

Oh man, I can relate to the addiction! Great post and awesome gifs. Thanks!

Ooh my gosh! it is like this is a story of my life at steemit, I was very impressed with the coffee part, I normally post at my office so I do exactly that after a couple of minutes watching my post go into oblivion, I go for a coffee, try to concentrate in work but like you said I gave in and go check back again! ;( This happen with my lattest contribution, Steem Locator website, put a lot of effort on it and it went to oblivion, so dissapointed.

This is so me! I am leaving an upvote. All the best for you and your success here!

Thanks love your post..
