Is it just me or does the steemit community seem very selfish?steemCreated with Sketch.

Ive noticed new or non crypto people having some issues on here with little to no support from the rest of the community. This may seem insignificant but if steem expects to grow to a larger size. This lack of support for others will cause steem to fail. I feel putting some money into steem power was a mistake as the strength of the community in reality seems very weak.
Still nothing on some friends waiting for account approval almost two weeks now when mine took less then a day. I had tons of faith for the steemit platform but im quickly losing it in the face of a very selfish community.

This is what happened to me, I got my steemit account within 1 day, but it took 2 weeks for my son to finally get his.
It is very hard at first to make it because it does seem like there are a lot of selfish people here, but there are really nice and really helpful people here on steem it too, my friend, but it takes time, but it will come.
Today I felt like that too, like there is no support when I needed help, and the only support I found was from you @skermsphotos27, for which I am very, very grateful. The steemit community needs more people like you

You should try to find the right followers.

Since you like to do photography, you can

  1. Do the photography contests with the corresponding hashtags
  2. Improve your write-up of your photos
  3. Tell a story with your photos and add it to the story hashtag

It is more of an issue of getting seen in a crowded field.

Thanks for the suggestions dean! I will try to put more of a write up with my photos.

You are partly right... A lot of people only vote accounts with a high rep-score... they hope to get a vote back. (and that most of the time never happen :-))
But in my experience the real photographers community do support each other...
But it's like everywhere when there is money in the game... a lot of wanna-be-rich-quick and spammers... :-(

Hey, @skermsphotos27, wanted to give you a shout out and ataboy for taking the time to help @joalvarez with her problems yesterday... Assisting and supporting others in their time of need is what will make this community stronger. Keep up the good work. Upvoted, Resteemed, and Followed.

Hey, steemit community is not selfish.

I think, any community or platform can't selfish, may be we can not understand community's rules & regulation.
