What will Steemit be in 5 Years

in steemit •  8 years ago  (edited)

I am fairly new to Steemit, Crypto-Currency and Blockchain Technology, but in a way I think most of us are except for the guys/girls that are really in deep like research and development, etc.

I am quite an internet junkie, on average I can say that I spend about 6-10 hours daily on the internet. So I know from experience how technology have change the world dramatically but somehow I get a feeling that its just the tip of the iceberg at this point and its only going to get more extreme.

Can Steemit become as big as Facebook or even bigger?

Right now people share their pictures, stories  and virtually every aspect of their life on other social media without getting paid for it, Steemit financially rewards us. You can't beat that.

In an article on CNBC by Arjun Kharpal, Cisco's Executive Chairman John Chambers said "You're now about to see a digital revolution with five to 10 times the impact of the internet today". This revolution will add 19 trillion dollar to the global economy. With that said, I think Steemit has enormous potential.

In my personal opinion, I think Steemit is very innovative. It can change the way reporters report news. It gives artist, photographers, writers and so many others a place to be creative, share their ideas and get rewarded in a fair and open manner.

Looking into the future, Steemit has room to shine. There is many area that it can grow and become more user friendly. Adding more features will make it more attractive and convenient, making the user more engage. Its early in the life of Steemit and its already very exciting. Looking forward to see how it evolves and what it becomes.

welcome! @skiesthelimit let's dream big together. The point is Steem can be great, not just big... or can generate value, not just revenue.
