There are so many things in this world that we take for granted. Like having food, water, and even a home and bed. And this police officer was hit with this realization when he came across this car at 2:30 in the morning.
Taunton police officers were doing their regular patrol when they came across a car with 2 adults sleeping in the front seat. But as they got a closer look, they noticed 2 young children sleeping in the back seat.
The parents told the officers that they are homeless, and were living out of their car since they had no where else to go.
They officers were absolutely heartbroken.
“Our new officer took it upon himself to make arrangements because they had no place to stay, because it was cool in the evening,” said Lt. Roderick.
That officer, is Leonardo Almeida. He had recently graduated from the Police Academy. And after seeing this homeless family, he knew that he had to do something to help, so he ended up calling a local hotel to see if they had a room available.
And that evening, Almeida ended up paying $190 out of the goodness of his own heart. He didn’t even think twice about paying for it either.
I am so proud of him for doing this, and for being such a wonderful human being. He helped with family so much, and it is appreciated by us, and the family.
May God bless them..upvoted n followed

The world will be a much better place if we can share a little bit for the poor and homeless. More we get , more we want. Our "wants" never satisfied whereas many r badly struggling for daily minimum "needs". May God bless humanity
