Well, no, not really, it means you support minnows by helping the bot to reward good content on Steemit. The bot's post promotions are totally independent of the investments (would be kinda unfair and totally defeat the purpose of the bot). In return, however, you get a share of the bot's curation and author rewards.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
